The sequel to 2009's Need for Speed: Shift introduces a helmet camera view designed to re-create the experience of driving 200 miles per hour from the driver's vantage point. Also included are nighttime races, wear-and-tear on both cars and tracks, and a renewed emphasis on simulation-style handling and performance. The "autolog" system lets you share your racing milestones, such as pictures and videos, with friends online. You'll also receive in-game challenges based on your friends' top performances. Customize your vehicle's engine, body, suspension, and other parts to impress rivals and outgain the competition. The limited edition version of Shift 2, available exclusively via pre-order, includes three in-game cars that are instantly accessible from the start: the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, Nissan Silvia spec.R Aero (S15), and Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV. An additional 40 career race events are included as well, from manufacturer showdowns to "old versus new" battles.

Great games just lacks physics in some areas and needs more music variety.
NFS series games have always been my favorite when it comes to racing. This game has great graphics and tuning but it seems like they did not take their time with Shift 2. There are only about 2 soundtracks remixed to sound differently so every time I win a race the same song plays. The vehicle sounds seem a little off sometimes and the physics were not as good as the original Shift. I have all assists turned off and if I am in a long turn and holding the accelerator all the way the car does not over-steer and remains at low rpm's. If I am taking a long turn in real life and hold my accelerator all the way, my car will either gain too much power and go off track or end up over-steering. This is something that was actually very accurate in the original Shift. Great game overall. ... NFS series games have always been my favorite when it comes to racing. Shift 2, if you havent played other games, then you&apos;ll be like &quot;wow&quot; and &quot;whoa, dude&quot; If you played a lot of other games and play games for the analytical aspect then you might say &quot;Satisfying&quot; or &quot;Pleasantly plump with pregnant aesthetics of prompt enjoyment&quot; I like a car game that handles well, cars that respond very good, I can be assured that I can make that sharp corner with an exact slice, whoosh barely squeezed in but made it, fast cars with excellent handling, wish my real car would do this but oh yeah, this is a video game, thats cool its fun anyway. Example 2: I am driving an Audi fast but then when I slow down, I mean I slow down to like a elementary school cross-walk slow with kids running around willy-nilly like a herd of sheep meandering all over the road, so yeah I slow down, almost to a stop, turn on my signal for a left turn and then the car rolls violently into the wall - wtf?! This game plays like Shift, I suppose a little better and a little worse but it plays like Shift, just as good and just as bad.

Excellent game, worth the money.
Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed is a great racing game. I could even go as far as to say it is a racing simulator, but that would only apply to the feel of being in the cars. The reason why I got this game was because I wanted a break from Forza Motorsport 4. Shift 2 has many things that FM4 does not: a customizable interior, many more decals and graphics, realistic backfires, helmet-cam, and it also simulates the effects of high speed and crashes. Barrel rolling down a straight at 160 mph will make the screen go gray and blurry and shaky. Traveling at high speed will increase your focus on the road and blur everything in the car. One of the things that Shift 2 has that I wish FM4 had is drifting events. Drifting in Shift 2 isn't as hard as drifting in FM4, but it sure isn't ...
