Another Awesome Book From Dorothy Dent
Great book for painters of all skill levels, whether they paint in oils or acrylics as there are projects for both mediums in this book. This book is thicker with more pages than most of Dorothy Dent's previous books. The patterns for each project are so easy to use and simple-they can easily be drawn free hand. The colors Dorothy uses for her painting projects are so much more colorful and luminous than her earlier books.-Very Modern.Dorothy Dent stays on top of the painting trends and shows she is still at the top of her game with this newest release.Great book for painters of all skill levels, whether they paint in oils or acrylics as there are projects for both mediums in this book. I own many, many Dorthy Dent books and painting packets and was very disappointed with this book. All of the patterns were small. If you want them enlarged, you would have to do them yourself. Most of us do not have a copy machine. I live in a small town and would have to travel 75 miles to a larger town to find one. The entire book was a disappointment. The paintings were not up to her usual standard. Her paintings always draw me in, making me want to rush to drag out my easel and begin painting, but this one did not. very good book. very detailed
the book is beautifully detailed.The colors are great and instructions are easy to follow. The thing I do not like about this book is the patterns are so small and have to be enlarged 200 percent. it would be better if a full size pattern came with it or if there was an opportunity to buy such a pattern.

Not as good as expected!
As a real Dorothy Dent fan, and a buyer of most of her books, I find this book a real disappointment. If you like a more impressionistic style of painting, then you might like this book. There are 5 oil projects and 5 acrylic projects, in a step by step format, none of which I chose to use for myself (as I usually do). Not up to par with her other fine books.

An excellent book by Dorothy Dent. All of Dorothy's books are excellent as are the videos. Ebay is a great source for finding these. What an assortment of new and out of print, hard to find instructional books and what a bargain
