Unfortunately it leaks on the outlet side of the block, and there is no way to tighten it
The water solenoid is necessary for the whole-house humidifier to function, since it is the control point for water to enter the humidifier when it starts with the furnace, and to stop the water into the humidifier when the furnace stops. I have now replaced this solenoid 4 times over the course of 8 years, since it stops functioning (opening and closing as necessary) probably because of minerals in the water (although I have had my water analyzed and it contains much less mineral content than most residential water sources). Replacing the solenoid so often was bad enough, but now I also have to contend with a slow leak in the outlet side whenever the water is running through the humidifier. I tried to tighten the outlet side, but could not, so I have a small catch rigged to catch the ... Good replacement for original
The unit came with necessary plumbing connection parts, unnecessary in my application, but good to have. The outlet elbow with hose barb was not fully sealed and required removal and re-installation with sealant (I used teflon tape). Overall it was an easy installation. Mounting bracket aligned with the screw holes on the humidifier, inlet tubing connector lined up, as did the outlet. Electrical connection was easy, unit worked properly as soon as installation was complete.The unit came with necessary plumbing connection parts, unnecessary in my application, but good to have. Exact replacement for stock solenoid
This is an exact looking stock unit replacement for a honeywell solenoid valve. However take the time to wrap all the brass fittings as they do tell you that they might leak and if not you might have a wet floor. Next it got very warm to the touch which I don't believe to be an issue. But here is the bad within running my humidifier for one hour straight to get some humidity back into the house the power control circuit board fried and was no longer supplying 24 VAC to the solenoid. A replacement power control board is at least $75 plus shipping. This is beyond ridiculous that these humidifiers don't last a year and break down. This is the 3rd replacement humidifier due to the cost of replacing the solenoid and power control boards it ends up cheaper to buy a entire new unit then fix ... works great
The solenoid works great. Not the solenoid's fault but I have learned that this type of humidifier wastes a lot of water. Also, the barbed hose connection did not fit my original hose so I have to figure out a good way to connect the hose from the solenoid to the filter frame.

Good value!
Replaced an existing Honeywell solenoid valve without difficulty. However, The water inlet orifice in the solenoids inlet manifold does not limit water flow. No big deal, simply limit the water amount by cranking down the water supply valve.
