Grateful I Found This Crystal Book
I like this book. I originally wanted the ORIGINAL book that weighs ten pounds but couldn't find one for less than $280. So I purchased this updated one without the photos of the crystals. It's not an exhaustive crystal encyclopedia, but it does have a lot of crystals and information for each one of the crystals mentioned. Good informative metaphysical content. This book is missing crystals, such as Shungite for example, but I'm so grateful I found this book.I like this book. The jumping-off point for metaphysical crystal study
This is the book that many consider "the" standard elementary reference work for studying the metaphysical properties of crystals and minerals. I know there are other reference works out there, like Judy Hall's Crystal Bible, but this is the one most often mentioned by crystal people when they want to describe things like healing and meditation properties. There are brief physical descriptions of each mineral, followed by the generally known metaphysical properties and uses. The only place the book comes up short is the lack of illustrations, but Melody has published appendices in separate volumes that make up for this. One way you can tell this book is very popular---it's hard to find used copies, and when you do, they command a good price. Summing up my review: ... Positive all around
Book is in very good condition. Although I don't believe crystals have any magical powers, I do believe they are very healing, much like anything beautiful in nature is healing. I had this book a very long time ago and it's an interesting, fun read.. I feel lucky to have found one again at a reasonable price.

Beautiful & wonderful knowledge from melody. This is a great tool to get started on your crystal journey :)
So much knowledge, the author melody is very wise. I am filled with love reading each word. I feel as if the energies from the words of each crystal explanation is vibrating out words as I read & uplifts me. There are a good amount of words that I need to look up to understand but I enjoy doing that because it is helping to expand my knowledge.

Awesome
This was everything I expected and much more. The description said that there were notes in the margin and that the book was slightly used. When I got it there was a signature from the author in the front but other than that there were no notes; the corners on the bottom were slightly "used". Other than that the book looked like it had never been opened. Thank you the book is great.
