Filter review
Great value especially because I was able to install the housing cabinet myself. The HVAC contractor quoted us $1,600 for Lenox's best filter with a ultra light built in with this Merv 16 filter. We bought this filter with its housing unit and a separate ultra violet light which was installed in the ductwork and the entire system cost me under $250. It took me approximately two hours to install it all. Note: my Lenox furnace had a space built between the furnace and the cold air return. This made it easy to install this unit.Great value especially because I was able to install the housing cabinet myself. X6675 Lennox 20x25x5 16 MERV deep pleated filter w/carbon odor reduction
I have been using this filter since replacing my AC unit in 2012. I have changed the filter cartridge annually while tracking the weight gain of the entire cartridge (old filter weight at change minus the recorded weight when installed new). The weight gain is 2.1 oz/year average. (In fact, I believe one could double the filter change time period). At each change I visually inspect the surface condition of the evaporator coils...each inspection has shown immaculately clean fins. During several routine maintenance calls, the side of the evaporator (unit inside the garage) unit has been exposed to up-close inspection of the fan motor, fan and ducting downstream of the filter, all very clean requiring no additional cleaning. Inside the house the dust accumulation has been minimal compared to ... I have been using this filter since replacing my AC unit in 2012. No mold or other odors have been detectable since 16 MERV filter upgrade. The long term advantages of having this high-end filter outweigh the cost difference in aggravation of changing cheaper, less efficient filters with the long term accumulation of dust in the ducts (source of nutrients for mold). Upgrade to 16 MERV system and use this cartridge or other size of 16 MERV Lennox filter. This is the industry top-rated filter and well worth it.

There is no better filter!
Super air cleaning. Been using for years. It is important to seal the space between the filter and the blower for best results. Large volume of filter makes it good for a year, but after a year you can see so much of what has been removed from your air. Last ebay purchase was best price yet (for 2).
