Sonic Riders finds the iconic hedgehog taking a breather from his platform exploits and engaging in high-speed air board races with 16 of his beastly buddies. Dr. Eggman plays host to an intergalactic tournament spanning 14 tracks, from the industrial Metal City to the tropical Splash Canyon, each filled with ramps, rails, tunnels, alternate routes, and plenty of gold rings. Sonic and close friends Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, and Cream the Rabbit must defeat Eggman's dream team of riders, known collectively as the Babylon Rogues. Characters are individually rated in speed, power, and flight, while over 30 types of ability-enhancing equipment are available to further customize riders. <br><br>As in traditional skateboard and snowboard titles, players can perform a number of grabs, spins, and other tricks, but the air boards have the added ability to create turbulence, which players can strategically use to draft behind their rivals. Another feature of the game is an air meter, which is filled by performing tricks and unleashing massive jumps. Players can use the stockpiled air at any time during the competition for more precise cornering, a speed boost, or to create a tornado to temporarily stun pursuing rivals. Up to four speed demons can compete in racing, battle, and tag modes, with the latter supporting cooperative play.

Was as described when purchasing this cheap PS3 game of an Old Franchise, the packaging was great, the game disc was loose of either upon me picking it up and opening the package, or by delivery, tho no scratches the disc itself, only bought it out of liking the Platinum Trophy being Retro, that's all, so I say a Positive experience.

Great product and arrived quickly. Packaged well, however, the rear coverart was liquid damaged, which wasn't clear in the photos. I would recommend this seller, but ask for better pictures of any potential imperfections.

That sweet early 2000's cool
The copy I ordered has one tiny scratch on the disc but after playing the game for several hours I've had zero issues so far. No stuttering, no lag. I've never had the opportunity to play this game as a kid so I'm excited I have that chance now.

Sonic Riders is out there!
Watching my niece figure this game out before I did was astounding to say the least. I have been playing video games since I was 10 when the Atari 2600 first came out and from there, games became more sophisticated, became 3 dimensional on the screen and needed books in order to solve them. I could not get past the first level, but my niece got past a few levels and still has yet to finish this game! It was a great game to watch. The characters were riding very fast. The graphics were better than the new Shadow game. It reminded me of Sonic Adventures 2 on the Dreamcast. Sonic greatness
Pro gaming magazines didn't quite give it the best of ratings. Personally i think they graded Sonic a little bit too harsh. Because i love the Sonic franchise. This racing game is a prime example. It has the traditional sonic speed but your on air boards. Then you have the rivals and the tricks. That is cool especially for Sonic. He is all about speed and this gives you a prime example of this speed. I give Sonic Riders A 5/5 cause i believe this is one of the better 3d Sonic games. The level engineering is very effective. I absolutely love i. Control scheme, simple yet effective, tricks, cool and effective, and the characters provide the depth in the game.Pro gaming magazines didn't quite give it the best of ratings. Good Game
One of the better Sonic spinoff games. Challenging races, cool new characters, and an interesting story. Not so easy for newcomers to pick up and play though. Overall a fun experience.
