Generation War
What happens when the country you love betrays everything you believe? Watch Generation War to find the answer. The characters are a perfect fit for their roles. I don't care for war movies, however, I found this intruiging so I watched it. It's not an easy film to watch by any means, yet it made me realize that there were many in Germany who did not always agree with what they saw going on even if they were in the military. It covers the lives and events of five friends & the twists & turns of their lives in their war torn homeland. A young man I know had found the film and we have watched it. We have had many discussions about WWII. I learned so much from the film and the discusssions. I highly recommend this film. What happens when the country you love betrays everything you believe? Generation War
A solid German TV mini-series produced from the point that "we weren't all Nazis" and "War is hell". Acting is very solid, characters are good, the action sequences and gear both very realistic. Four storylines carry you throughout the three parts. As with anything having to do with Germany's role in the war, there will be parts some people have trouble with. There are a few too many cases of paths crossing in Russia but we'll chalk that up to dramatic license. I enjoyed it. Well written and directed. Actors were very talented and believable
It's always nice to get another perspective on a period in time that changed the world forever. Here in the U.S. most major films are about the Western Front and the role of the United States. It's nice to see how it effected the Eastern Front and the young men and women that suffered and endured much more and for far longer than The United States did. We were all just following the orders of the leaders of the countries we loved and trusted. The English subtitles were done very well and were not hard to follow in the translation. Great movie. Terrific character development and (interwoven) storylines
I can't really describe the subject as "entertaining" as it's incredibly serious. But well worth watching, indeed, I watched the lot in one go. Terrific character development and (interwoven) storylines. My only criticism was the very end, a bit Hollywoodish. I was familiar with one of the actors, Volker Bruch, from Babylon Berlin and he plays his role perfectly. Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing
I’m a big world war 2 buff and like to watch movies from all countries. This was an amazing mini series which I watched in its entirety in one sitting. Very realistic and thought-provoking. You can really feel all the main characters emotions what they’re going through. Highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in World War II history. 5 Stars ⭐️
