  • Motorola Motonav Tn765t Reciever

I`ve had this Motorola Motonav TN765t now for a couple of weeks, and this unit is a sure winner!!!! It`s 5 inch screen is just brilliant! It also has all of the features that any serious gps operator would want, and is easy to use right out of the box. I also currently own a Magellan Maestro 4250, and 4700, I also have a Tom Tom 730xl, and this Motorola out performs them all, in my opinon. I have had gps`s for 8 years now, and have always been looking for the "perfect" one, and I do think that this is the one that fulfills what I`ve been looking for all of this time. It`s voice activated recognition is better than my other units, altho not perfect, but no gps actually is, this gps does recognize my voice commands better than my other ones. It comes with lifetime traffic, as long as ...

  • Great GPS, lots of options.

My favorite thing about this GPS is it turns my cell phone into a speaker phone, so I can answer or make a call without fumbling around with my phone. It will also read text messages to me. The maps and directions have all been good, but I don't have any other GPS to compare it to, so can't put any advantage there. The maps show most major bodies of water, and minor ones too in populated areas. One kind of kewl feature is that the picture reflects the time of day...when driving at night, the background is black, light during the day. One fairly negative thing is it's battery life which is around 2 hours or so. The DC auto adapter doesn't supply enough power to keep it charged, so you will need to charge it sooner or later, whether or not you use the adapter. I bought this one mostly ...

  • After you get fed up with your Garmin, try this Big Screen baby

Alright, I want to set something straight at the onset. This is an intelligent GPS. There is a lot to it and I think it is fairly intuitive after you read the Quick Guide, which tells you to download the Owners Guide. When you follow the bread crumbs you come up with an understanding of just how good the Motonola tn765t GPS really is. You also are given the reasons why Motorola motonav tn765t has ads pop up. Motorola gives you free (paid for by the ads) Traffic Services, forever. Not convinced yet? Ok, First time newbies, go buy a Garmin, use it for awhile and then try the Motonav. You'll be a believer. When you get good and experienced with it come back and get a really intelligent GPS. The Motonav runs circles around Garmin, feature after feature. Just read all three manuals (Yes, ...

  • Motorola tn765t portable GPS

I did weeks worth of research on portable GPS units. I was told by those who owned this unit who had owned Magellans and Garmins both presently and i the past, that this was far superior to models in either of those names...and that any price below 200.00 was a bargain. I have only owned factory installed units that came with the car and a Pioneer in-dash nav that I absolutely loved. I am very pleased with every feature on this tn765t. I would have the normal criticism that the volume is lower than I'd like it to be but the bluetooth works well, the voice recognition is as solid as can be expected and the traffic feature has helped me in two major situations within a week. I have used the Bing dial ups just to see if they work and they do quite well. I did a weather update as well. The ...

  • Not sure it's worth the $

Great look, great features. Must have a bluetooth cell phone in order to use the Bing search, gas update & all other features, except traffic. I have yet to see anywhere in Motorola's advertising and write ups where they inform you of that. Map updates are $69.99 & up and the unit comes pre loaded with old outdated maps, forcing you to pay the $ to update. The built in 4gig memory is nice. The screen resolution is great. It comes with all the bells and whistles but, you have to pay to get them to chime. After buying and using 2 Insignia CNV20's, I thought I would upgrade to a high end name brand GPS. Not at all what I thought I was paying for. Retail price is way too high for a unit that requires more $ shelled out to get all the features functioning.
