Hoops fans will be able to revisit some of the greatest playoff matches in NBA history with the new Playoff Mode. On offense, players can control either the ball-handler or a nearby teammate to perform alley oops, establish screens, and to get into position near the basket. Players can also customize free throws, dribbles, and dunks based on a star's real-life tendencies and attributes. On defense, the right analog stick is used to run defensive sets, "body-up" the ball handler, and more.<br><br>The career-like Association mode allows would-be coaches to assign individual roles, carefully manage playing time, and build team morale. Simulation junkies will appreciate a more dramatic interface for simming games, with "SimCentral" displaying real-time stats, injuries, and other up-to-date information. The online experience is enhanced with the ability to create leagues, trade and draft players, and compete in an assortment of tournaments. Kevin Harlan and Kenny Smith return for commentary duties, while the soundtrack features music from such recording artists as Common, Q-Tip, Run DMC, and the Stone Roses.

    NBA 2K8 PS2

    Graphics:The graphics are really good with realistic looking players. Gameplay: Gameplay is easy to learn and fun. Most games end up high scoring due to the amount of three pointers. These can be made relatively easily using talented players and getting the timing down. Free throw shots are also relatively easy when you get the timing down. Players can become hot in which the make most shots. Once they miss two they lose the ability. The three best present day teams in the game are the Celtics, Spurs, and Suns. In the association you can either make all the moves for your team or let the computer do it. You can even schedule weekly practices. The only problem with the association is that the menu is hard to find because it is hidden. To get it to come up move the right analog stick to the ...

    BIGGEST BANG FOR YOU BUCK

    I ORDERED THIS FO MY 2 SONS. THEIR REVIEW IS ONE WORD... AWESOME..... I DECIDED TO BUY NBA 2K8 BECAUSE MY KIDS SAID IT WAS THE LATEST & GREATEST GAME. THE CAME ARRIVED IN A PLASTIC SECURITY CASE. MY KIDS PLAY IT & IT'S JUST LIKE A REAL BASKETBALL GAME. HOWEVER THEY WERE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE IT DID NOT HAVE A SAM DUNK CONTEST LIKE THE ONE FOR XBOX 360.
