À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Things tend to get tense the further you go into the future. While civilization reaches new heights and technical innovation is bounded by little more than the ingenuity and creativity of humanity, there's always that much further for humankind to fall. Since the conflict in these future utopias is rarely internal, we look to the stars, and they in turn rain down alien invaders.

In this 3D fighter by Capcom, you must take control of one of the ultimate military weapons designed by the various factions in this futuristic world and pilot it to the ultimate salvation of the human race -- or its immolation. In a healthy tribute to the giant robots of Japanese animation, Tech Romancer features mech designs patterned after those found in shows like Patlabor, Gundam, Evangelon, Bubblegum Crisis and Macross, among others.

The Story mode offers plots unique to each character that echo the attitudes and actions of the heroes and heroines of that style of anime. There are seven selectable robots for you to control when you first open the game, but through the special Hero Challenge mode in conjunction with the development room, there are more secrets for you to unearth. Tech Romancer also offers games for download to your memory card.

Each robot has attacks unique to it along with a host of general moves like the ability to dodge and then attack, the ability to charge through attacks, the ability to perform throws or a guard break move, and the ability to use various items to either attack the enemy or enhance the properties of your robot. Additionally, each robot has a Final Attack that activates in certain circumstances, which will net you an automatic win if you can land it.

Battles take place in various locations including a futuristic cityscape, a lava field and others like high tech labs. Each field contains destructible buildings and other things that your robot can be tossed into or through. Tech Romancer also allows full three-dimensional movement for those of you who have trouble relating to a single-plane fighting game. Expect to see a mix of close-up fighting, juggles and distance laser battles as you battle for survival!

  • A instant classic no Dreamcast owner shoild be without.

What I love about this game is all the different mechs in this game that are based off of other classic anime seires as well as othe mech games. Shows Like Gundam and Macross and Evangelion just for starters. Then you have a huge list of unlockables to go through. the game is eay to play but is also a challenge to master anyone who is even a casual fighting game fan can enjoy this or get in to fighting games for the first time with this one but what I love most of all is how it utilizes the Dreamcast VMU with so many mini game s you can play that helo you unlock features in the regular game. My only complaint is that two of the bosses can be kind of cheap. I decided on purchasing this game because I love mechs, anime and fighters and this has all three and it does it well. • A little scratched but works fine.

Basically this is a replacement for my defective copy. Light shined through the disk when held to light.... Disk rot. Came quick. Thanks.

  • Tech Romancer = Very good pick up

Tech Romancer is a one of the of great games of the Sega Dreamcast. The voice acting is fun to listin to and is top notch. The Fighting controls were a bit difficutlt for me to master due to me always playing Super Street Fighter 4 but once i got the hang of it became a very enjoyable fighting game. The graphics still hold up to today. Bottom line This is a must have for those who own a Dreamcast.

  • Tech Romancer is awesome

Great game. I dont usually like fighting games but this is really fun to play. Good selection of characters and pretty easy gameplay. I wish I had heard of this game back when it originally released.
