A Breath of Fresh Aire
When I first heard this music playing in a retail store, I had to stop and listen. The music sounded familiar, but it was like nothing I had ever heard before! Yes, these were the Christmas melodies that I had heard every year for as long as I can remember, but the arrangement was rich, and full, with a variety of instruments. It sounded like classical music, but when did classical music become "toe-tapping" music? When did the recorder, a toy piano, and castanets become classical instruments? I bought the album immediately and have bought several more copies to give to friends. Everyone that I've shared this with loves it. It makes a great Christmas gift. The album is virtually all instrumental. "Good King Wenceslas" contains several bars of vocals ... When I first heard this music playing in a retail store, I had to stop and listen. Holiday memories
I think this is one of the best holiday albums ever recorded by Mannheim Steamroller. I purchased it on cassette in 1984 when it was first released and it was what we played every Christmas morning since to announce that Santa had come. This past Christmas my youngest son spent his 1st Christmas morning in 24 years away from home. I purchased this CD for him when I shipped his package to Georgia and placed it on top of the pile of wrapped gifts with a note to OPEN FIRST. He knew exactly what it was before opening it. It was a bittersweet moment for him when he placed it in his CD player and heard those familiar horns at the beginning of Deck the Halls. Even though he couldn't be with us, Mannheim Steamroller brought our traditional family Christmas to him across the miles with their ... I think this is one of the best holiday albums ever recorded by Mannheim Steamroller. Great Christmas CD. First of many by Mannheim Steamroller.
I enjoyed the record years ago and was glad to find the CD. It brought back good memories this Christmas and the CD sound quality was awesome. The price was right and I appreciated the fast service.

They are the most wonderful group and their music is so relaxing I could listen to it all the time as I do everynight to go to bed on whether it be the Christmas ones at that time of season or other CD's they have out. Their music is not loud or overbearing like some of the groups out there today. If you would ever get the chance to see them live one must because I had the opportunity to see them in concert last Christmas and let me tell you one cannot describe how it was it was so great you would have to see for youself how wonderful of a show they put on.They are the most wonderful group and their music is so relaxing I could listen to it all the time as I do everynight to go to bed on whether it be the Christmas ones at that time of season or other CD's they have out. great easy listening
Great music for someone who enjoys easy listening and instumental music that has been readapted from old songs, the Manhein Steamroller group has brought to life music that had stalled in the years past.
