    As far as the movie "CANDY" goes I believe it was grossly under-rated I found it very enjoyable and at times highly erotic (mainly because of "Ewa Aulin's" performance) while at the same time very comical!! The all star cast in my opinion helped sell the entire story plot!! My rating 9/10

      Mem will be Men

      A young girl come of age and everyone who she encounters...seek to have "knowledge" of Candy...and I do mean every male that she meets....Richard Burton...Ringo Starr...Marlon Brando...James Coburn...Walter Matthau...I found this film to be very entertaining.

      Ewa Alin stole my heart portraying the 'Candide' of the 1960s!

      "Candy" was actually a popular book when i was in high school. All the teachers at school were wise to it, but I bought it while on a trip to Texas, and no one in the family knew about what I was reading. The film took some liberties (with plenty of guest stars) and claimed it was written by Terry Southern, when all the book copies for over forty years said it was Maxwell Kenton (definitely a pseudonym). Ewa Alin, is an absolute doll and plays the part of the main character to a tee.

      More Ringo memories

      I've been catching up buying Beatles items that have escaped my clutches over the decades. I didn't expect much from Candy, apart from Ringo, but Ewa Aulin's performance was a lot better than I expected. Not the greatest film I've ever seen but not the worst either (that is La La Land!!) and Ringo's there!
