    simple, and it works great!

    i'm a renter, and didn't want to expose old paint marks from the existing crappy old mercury-bimetal thermostat. this one took up the exact same footprint (ain't easy finding a vertical digital) and is sooo much more accurate. price was very reasonable for a honeywell, too.

    Honeywell TH1110DV1009

    Vertical configuration make it great for tight spots and modern design makes for a great look. Easy installation for the DIY person. This is a manual thermostat so all you have to do is set it and its done. Works on both heating and cooling systems.

    simple

    I wanted the ease of up and down setting of temperature. The big box stores and most everywhere else wants you to buy an over-complicated programmable thermostat. Meaning the simple ones can be harder to find. I wanted one to set and forget. And this one fits the bill!

    Finally a simple accurate thermostat!

    This is a great thermostat because it is simple, affordable and the best part of it all, it has a backlight. If you need a plain simple digital thermostat to get the job done then this is for you.

    Perfectly Simple

    Glad to be back using a basic thermostat. Back-light function is a great extra that we need in our location. This thermostat also runs without a battery using the "common" wire that existed in our setup. It doesn't have to have the common wire, it will run on just a battery if needed. I tried a NEST thermostat and it malfunctioned once causing my outside A/C compressor to continue running while the inside blower fan was not! No second chances. UPDATE: July, 2019 this simple thermostat and my HVAC system are still running rock solid. I stand by my statement that something went wrong with the "smart" Nest thermostat not the remainder of my system.
