2002 debut album from the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter. The album's critical and commercial success was a breakthrough for Jones in 2002, as it reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart and several jazz charts. The album also topped many critics' "albums of the year" lists and gathered major music awards in the process, including eight Grammy Awards. Following initial sales, Come Away with Me was certified diamond by the RIAA on February 15, 2005 having shipped over 10 million copies in it's first three years of release.

    Come Away with Me [Super Audio Hybrid CD] by Norah Jone

    I consider this SACD (cd hybrid) a must own for anyone who enjoys a female singers voice over a jazz melody. Norah can captivate you with sweet, smooth notes that will make you sink into your chair and hang on every word. The songs aren't the deepest lyricly, but carry an emotional weight that makes them easy to listen to and get better every time you hear them. This will play on a regular cd player, but to get the most musical resolution and dynamics, you must use an SACD player and a good set of speakers. Pick this up and enjoy it over and over. My personal favorite: The Painter Song and Nightingale. Enjoy.

    Excellent album, high res audio

    For an easy listening, soothing jazz and soul album, this one is a no-brainer. Excellent production, beautifully arranged and performed. One of the few albums I know I can press play on song one and let it play all the way through, and enjoy every note. The SACD edition enhances the experience. The vocals are more clearly presented, instruments obviously seperated, never compressing another instrument to the mushy, «digital» sound you can encounter occasionly on standard cd, and often on streaming.

    Listen with headphones! Beautiful voice and music!

    Norah Jones, whether her album sales, critics or popularity are involved or not, has done something that few can do; she impressed me. Who am I? Nobody special, but it takes a lot to impress me these days where music is concerned. I am not a fan of "pop" music; most of it is contrived, cliche and boring. This album was a huge success, won a grammy and sold millions, but lots of albums do that and don't sound too good to me. Most music these days just sounds like everything else in it's genre and I don't care for much of it. This album broke the seams, blurred the edges and made it hard to classify. It's a jazzy, bluesy, (I think I read country but I don't know about that, although I agree that the guitar is influenced by early country artists), soul-filled expose of what a group of ...

    Nice Sound and a Decent Value

    I have one of the original PS3's that play SACD's and PS2 games. I have never owned an SACD so I thought I would try this one since it was not that expensive. I already owned the mp3 version of this album and I can truly say listening to the SACD 5.1 mix really adds to the enjoyment of listening to this music. I can't say how this SACD compares to others in quality since this is the only SACD I own.

    Excellent Quality Record!!

    Hi All, I don`t wanto to waste any time saying the obvious things about Norah Jones music qualities. Instead of that, I would like to point that this SACD has an excellent recording level quality being far superior in all its layers when compared to its CD version. If you are not sure if the SACD is worth the effort, I bet that this album will shake your grounds.
