    Life-Changing Book

    This book caused me to re-dedicate my life to Christ. With clear, short chapters, readers are led to consider a life beyond our self-centered tendencies and to consider God's reasons for having us here. I have read many, many "self-help" books through the years and most of them seem to encourage the selfishness that so many of us (including myself) had become so accustomed to maintaining. If you are ready, this book will challenge many of your previous assumptions and could lead you closer to Christ. Readers who will take the time to read the book daily as instructed and then carry out the work directed in the book will experience benefit. However, just reading the book and choosing not to change your thoughts, attitudes or behaviors will not be helpful. (I am amazed at people I talk to ...

    See Life in a New Light or Re-Focus Your Life

    The book on CD is a good format for this. If you don't have time to read, you can listen to one chapter a day as recommended while driving to/from work, exercising, walking the dog or even getting dressed in the morning. The book will help you see life in a new light or it can help you re-focus your life if you have lost focus. It is a nice educational piece and Rick Warren is a motivational speaker. I cannot say that I agree or buy into everything he says, but it was worth listening to. I found it much easier to list to the CD than find quiet time to read the book. There is time driving to and from work that is wasted and for a time I filled it with thought and inspiration. I think it was worth listening to and would recommend it.

    Great listening to help self improvement

    This book is absolutely great! It has a lot of great things to say about how important it is to be positive and think positive. This does not directly point to being thankful to God for everything you have and everything you accomplish but it is the only link to put it all together. I assume they did not link this more copies would be sold because we know how the world is about buying things that might point to God... This book ties in well with "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale wrote in 1955. Don't even think about it, buy it and listen to it often to help change your thoughts.

    The Purpose Driven Life by Richard Warren CD set

    I am not much of a reader so I thought the CD collection would be an excellent way to know information inside the book. I keep the collection in my SUV and listen to the CDs as I am traveling on my job. They tend to take your mind off the stress of everyday life. I have enjoyed the collection very much and would recommend it to anyone who does a lot of traveling. The Bible says that faith comes by hearing the word. The CDs bring the word to life and in doing so, gives you new life. I think the price was a factor also in my purchasing the collection on eBay.

    Purpose Driven Life Audiobook

    The Purpose Driven Life Audiobooks is a wonderful book for working moms with small children who does not have the time to read a book. It is a spiritual very uplifted book to read or on this case hear.It is divided chapter by chapter so as to be able to internalize and ponder on it well. Each chapter have bible scriptures to take home about which leads to one cons to have audiobook instaed of reading it. I listen on this Cd when I am free which is basically when I would be driving to and from work for about 30 minutes because I would not be able to write it down or even remember it unless I'm at halt.
