So I bought 2 womens tops, a day after that transaction the seller tells me that she found a hole in the top and will refund me 1/2 the cost of the item and shipping. Looking at the photos that she sent me, the hole was small, so I accepted the top in it's state, but She still issued me a discount, 1/2 price. Tuesday 06/04 comes along and we receive 2 tops for the price of 1. Some sort of mistake right? No it wasn't, contacted the Seller and she basically gifted the second top to us, thank You

  • Sci Fi Classic still a fun film for Today

I used to watch this film as a young girl with my brother, when it aired on T.V. Buckaroo Bonsai was the James Bond to the pop 80's for young teen boys like my brother. I grew up as a girl admiring Buckaroo Bonsai as the ultimate Renaissance Man. I was wondering if the movie would seem dumb to me now. I picked up a copy and invited some family and friends to watch it (The ones that like Sci-Fi as I do) to sit with me and watch a piece of my childhood fervor; The adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai: Traveling in the 8th Dimension. The cast is wonderful, many well known young actors. I watched the movie and found it to be a very fun film. The conepts were still cool, and the graphic were fun to watch, like old star-trek episodes. The language is also fine for a family to view. Thanks ...

  • The hands-down greatest SciFi sendup of all time, and a terrific movie on its own merits!!

This movie is so brilliant and so funny that you'll have to see it at least twice to get all the gags. It played for over two years at weekend midnight screenings in Boston, and was sold out every show (principally because Harvard students loved it and saw it again and again). One reviewer wrote of it "[Buckaroo Banzai[ is paradoxically decades ahead of its time and yet completely of its time; it's profoundly a movie by, for, and of geeks and nerds at a time before geek/nerd culture was mainstreamed, and a movie whose pre-CG special effects and pre-Computer Age production design were an essential part of its good-natured enthusiasm." Years ago, when it was available on a pay-TV station in Los Angeles, I saw the movie about four or five times. Only recently I purchased it at eBay, and ...

  • Oink, snore!

There are a lot of really great movies that are no being produced on DVD or maybe older ones that never have been put on DVD. This one? It's a horrible movie. Last time I saw it must have been 1990 on a major movie cable network and had totally forgot the entire thing by the time I saw a preview online. Thankfully we can find used DVDs on this system! Sometimes it's the only way to get ahold where a rental would have been a far better idea. The movie was horribly written and made no sense at all... BUT the only really value to the whole project was the familiar faces. A pre-Back to the Future Christopher Llyod is just the start. Many are not very famous at the time. Some are annoying that never go away like Jeff Goldblum. Some are quintessential in cult classics like Highlander ...

  • Get over it, junior Eberts!

Buckaroo Banzai, in it's original VHS format, was already a Cult Classic. That sentiment is only magnified now with it's 2002 release to DVD. Some day, in the not too distant future (probably a decade from now), Team Banzai will be up there among the ranks of A Clockwork Orange and Doctor Strangelove. I've read several comments by people under the age of 30 who trash on this film, call it crap, and characterize us fans as vapid, Thorazine-addled retards. Whatever makes you happy, folks! If trashing on a film that was seminal in the annals of low-budget cinematic resourcefulness makes you feel special then I'm happy for you. There is a reason we love this film. The script is clever, a veritable mosaic of silly twists and throwaway jokes so layered that it takes ...

  • Cult Classic

I had been wanting to get this again as I had had it on VHS years ago. Some quote from the movie came up and I was telling my wife about it and, to my chagrin, she had never seen it! However, in her defense she was a year old when it came out. The movie is funny, engaging and appropriate for all ages. Maybe not for all tastes but definitely ours. I mean, come on, a hero who's a surgeon, rock star, scientist and adventurer with a rag tag team of specialists? What's not to love. Sadly, after this Peter Weller's career was crushed by Robocop. I reccommend this flick for anyone who loves quirky, off beat comedy action adventures in the line of Big Trouble in Little China to Evil Dead 3 - Army of Darkness. Just remember, "No matter where you go, there you are".
