Road to Avonlea Complete Seventh Season 7 (DVD,2007)
What a finish to this fantastic series! I'm so glad that it ended mostly the way I hoped for. But I am not glad that it ended. It could have gone on for ten seasons or longer! My family and I are longtime fans of this series which was a spin-off to the highly acclaimed "Anne of Green Gables" and "Anne of Avonlea." It takes place on location at Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia. The scenery is breath-taking and the charcters and stories are so memorable. A very positive family series for all ages. This season "finishes" a few sagas, but also lets you imagine what could happen about other ones. In season six, Felicity receives word that Gus is lost at sea. But in this season, she never gives up hope that he is still alive. While she decides what to do with her life, she decides to help some ... What a finish to this fantastic series! There are stories about Davey & Dora, Felix and Izzy Pettibone, and a family member visits the Pettibones and causes quite a stir. Sara Stanley makes a surprise visit in the last episode which is nice to see. Aunt Eliza's cousin pays a call but it turns out she is not very well. There is some sadness in the last few stories. A business is lost which causes two main charcters to make a big decision. And Felicity must make the biggest choice of all at the finish. I'm just as saddened by the ending of this series now as I was in the 1990's. It's worth every minute of viewing. I did discover that there is a special DVD of "An Avonlea Christmas." So in a sense, there is one more episode! :)

Great Family Fare
I bought this DVD set to finish the whole Avonlea series that is the most wonderful of all TV series for families to view. This one was just as good as all the rest with plots, scenery, landscapes, beautifully correct period clothing (a real bonus for us period clothing buffs!), and exceptionally good acting from all ages. I like how it has all ages together, facing life and all that it brings, just like it should in an extended family and community. I did experience life like this when I was very young in a rural setting and I wanted my children to see how wonderful it was and they have delighted in it ever since we first started watching Tales of Avonlea on the Disney Channel in the 1990's. They have grown up with the show as we have been able to watch it (collecting DVD's) and they have ... Road to Avonlea - The Complete Seventh Volume
The Road to Avonlea series is tops in my book. The characters are true to life. The plot, though sometimes predictable, shows growth in those who live and work on Prince Edward Island. The cinamatography is breathtaking. Often I'll want to stop the action to view the still prints of the stars in their natural surroundings. The scenery and change in the seasons are stunning. We've watched Sarah Stanley, Velicity, Felix and Cecily King grow to young adulthood and even experience a romance or two. The prickly, old maid school teacher Hetty King has a mellow side, and as the series progresses, she blossoms into an imaginative fiction writer. last of the series was great
It is a great film for all family members to watch. You feel apart of the Avonlea family. Makes you want to pack your bags and go to see the sights where the great story is set in Canada's Prince Edward Island. It has Humor, Romance, Mystries, and drama that will bring a tear to your eye, but warm your heart at the same time. Wish there was more. I have every season and treasure the dvds. We watch them at all the way thru at least once a year and cry, laugh, and enjoy them as if we saw them for the first time. Excellent.It is a great film for all family members to watch. great show :)
ive loved this show since i was a kid.its a great family show,with great charcters and plots.esp the romances involved :).the only thing i dislike about this season is its the final season,and they left alot of loose ends.i wish they wouldve planned a better ending.the wedding was very important but everything happened too fast,and i wanted felix and izzy too have a clearer relationship.but i still love it! "return to me" is one of the best episodes ever in all seven seasons.enjoy!ive loved this show since i was a kid.its a great family show,with great charcters and plots.esp the romances involved :).the only thing i dislike about this season is its the final season,and they left alot of loose ends.i wish they wouldve planned a better ending.the wedding was very important but everything happened too fast,and i wanted felix and izzy too have a clearer relationship.but i still love it!
