It is as good as any and better than most of the other manuals available.
I bought a manual because I purchased a 1995 525i with over 150,000 miles. I know that small things will break, and I am tired of paying $100 per hour for the shop to do things I can do. I bought the Bentley manual because I heard it provides the most complete descriptions and photographs on how to repair and maintain my vehicle. Thus far, I've used it to change the brake light switch and to accomplish a few other minor repairs. It made an admirable showing. One piece of information will make this the greatest service manual of all time: if, as I read on the Internet, it tells me how to safely reset the maintenance graphics on the dash. That little service costs me $85 at the shop. Overall, I am pleased with the subject-matter arrangement of the information. Some manuals should provide ... Thus far this manual is better than all but the original dealer shop manuals that I've seen. The only reason that I gave an overall rating of 4/5 is because I have not yet seen how well the manual deals with diagnosing and replacing such items as steering parts and brakes--my next two projects. If it walks me through those endeavors with clear, understandable instructions, I'll gladly increase my rating to a 5/5.

What a great item. This item does exactly what it says in the description. It is most helpful and gave me learned knowledge in the execution of my intended task. I would definitely reccommend it and as you can probably fathom I found it most useful

Get it! It is worth the $50!
Great book! A must have for any BMW owner! Covers everything from oil change to engine replacement. The pictures are very informative and the text is well written and very comprehensive. This book does not leave much to the imagination, and that's a good thing.

Bentley BMW 5 Series Service Manual
Excellent manual! Lots of detailed information! Easy to follow and read, photo's are a great help! You need this manual if you own a 5 Series BMW...it will save you money in the long run!!! Don't even consider buying a Haynes Manual...waste of money....

Bentley is the Bible
When it comes to repair manuals you will be hard pressed to find one better than a Bentley. I have 2 BMWs and with the Bentley manuals I do all my own repairs. They are very detailed manuals and model specific.
