"Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Limited Edition" can be the ultimate edition for collectors and casual fans alike. This PlayStation 3 game features the main character from previous Metal Gear Solid games, Solid Snake, along with other returning Metal Gear faces. Snake, prematurely aged but determined to fight, must assassinate his nemesis, Liquid Ocelot. He must also stop Liquid from gaining access to an A.I. called the Sons of the Patriots. This A.I. controls private military companies around the globe, making it the ultimate threat. The fourth version of Metal Gear Solid tells a story that promises to unite past and present plot threads all in one grand farewell on the PS3. "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" continues the tradition of the previous games in the series. Stealth and close quarters combat are back, with a streamlined over the shoulder camera. The game is in third person perspective, making it similar to more traditional shooter video games. Rated M for Mature by the ESRB, blood, violence, and strong themes abound throughout this third person shooter, which can be enjoyed by 1-4 players. Metal Gear Solid always pushed the envelope, and the gameplay in the Guns of the Patriots limited edition can be clear evidence of that. A feature was introduced in this Metal Gear game for the PlayStation 3. Psyche Meter measures Solid Snake’s stress gauge can increase based on several elements around him, including bad smells and active enemies. These stressors deplete his Psyche, taking battlefield psychology to a whole new, meta level. Low Psyche makes it difficult for Snake to aim, and it increases the possibility that he’ll pass out if he takes damage. Carefully maneuver through enemy territory, switching between stealth and CQC as you see fit to survive. Though he’s older, Snake is none the worse for wear in this game for the PS3. He has an eye patch that allows him to see radar and infrared signals, and he sports an OctoCamo suit. This takes on the appearance of any surface, allowing you to blend seamlessly into the background and avoid discovery. Snake can also use a small support robot to help him in combat. Its in game functions are largely for codec uses, and it also allows you to access the game menu. The robot can also be used to stun enemies and interact with the environment, and there’s also a VR simulation for players to test out abilities. This version of MGS4 includes more than this smash hit game for the PS3. Guns of the Patriots Limited Edition also includes a soundtrack CD, featuring songs composed by Harry Gregson-Williams. This version also has two making of documentaries, and four chapters of the graphic novel that inspired the gaming franchise. Beautiful Edition of one of the Best Titles in the Series
Metal Gear is an amazing series.etal Gear Solid 4 is definitely one of the best titles in the series. At the time, Metal Gear Solid 4 pushed the boundaries of graphics and what the PS3 could do. The Limited Edition comes with some really great bonus material including a Blu Ray Bonus Disc, Original Soundtrack, and an art book. MGS4 Limited Edition
Godlike game, just as good now as it was in 2008. F*ck the haters this game and it’s story are good. Is it as good as MGS2? No but nothing ever could be. Doesn’t matter though. I got the limited edition with the bonus CD and blu ray. Great stuff, worth the 50 bucks for sure.

The perfect game. 10/10
MGS4 is arguably one of the best video games ever made. Great graphics, amazing story, amazing game play, and good replayability. If you've never played an MGS game before this game might be a little heavy for you, however, if you're willing to look past that you will not be disappointed.

Summer '08 I rented MGS4 and at first I thought the controls, manipulation of the character was difficult. As I played on it grew more appealing, the graphics, game play and the story. I completed the first Act and then turned the game back in because it was too good. I had played it for hours, but then school (fall, college) started and my plate was full. I bought the game brand new on EBAY but overpaid. What I recommend doing is going to Gamestop.com, search local for MGS4 SPECIAL EDITION and you could probably find it for $69.99 plus tax. I haven't played the game, for ascetic purposes. I want to be free of school/work obligations and want a surround sound system. I have a 1080p HD and i'd like to take advantage of the Dolby Surround Sound. Prob won't finish playing the game until the ... As a hero on the verge of a literally breaking down physically, Snake seeks to rectify the sins of the past by wiping his and Liquid's gene sequence off the face of the planet. Predicting, with a high degree of accuracy, a heated political climate that is brought on by the proliferation of Private Military Corporations and pulling technologies from DNA research, Nanotechnology, and organic/machine hybrids, the player is immersed into an extremely modern and realistic world that sets the stage(that closely resembles the world we are about to set foot into tomorrow) for the titanic ... While the Multiplayer could have used more work, it is still fun, unique, and easy to lose oneself in. I have nothing but good things to say about this game and I HIGHLY recommend it!
