Great Bible for the price
This Bible was exactly what I was looking for. Large letters to read easily, but being a slimline Bible, not a huge study type Bible. The cover seems durable enough for not being leather, and the translation is a good one (NLT/New Living Translation) from where original Hebrew (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament) into the English language. Much easier to understand, which is what I wanted because this is a present to a young teenager that wants to read the Bible. This Bible was exactly what I was looking for. NLT Premium Value Large-Print Slimline Bible - REVIEW
IMHO, this is a great deal. The bible feels good in the hand, and appears to be a much more expensive bible than it actually is. It is easy to read. However, I am very glad I got the large print, for to me, it is more like regular print than a large version. All in all, I highly recommend this product, and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. As a matter of fact, I may purchase another one for a gift I need to cover soon! DaveIMHO, this is a great deal. Great Bible: Good price, good translation for understandable reading, good study helps.
I'll be giving this brand new Bible as a gift to an unbeliever, but he is open to learn more about the Bible and Jesus and God's plan of salvation. So I bought him a Bible for his birthday. It is PERFECT for what I wanted it. For either an unbeliever or a new Christian the New Living Translation is a wonderful tool to get someone who is biblically illiterate to get him/her to realizing the Bible is readable and much of the time, understandable. It reads like we talk. The print in this Bible is not large, but not little. Average eyes can see the print easily. The cover for this Bible is very attractive and I like that the pages have gold edges. I highly recommend this Bible and its excellent study prompts. Easier to comprehend
For me, (I’m always comparing) the format is easier to understand and follow. Excerpts from other Bibles were way too subjective and left to that person’s interpretation or “feelings” that day.
