Product Information

Adequate lighting can arguably be the most important factor in capturing a quality photo. The ability to focus the correct amount of light on a subject and its background can be critical to allow any lens and camera to function properly. The Canon Speedlite 320EX Shoe Mount Flash for Canon cameras can do just that. In addition to the main flash, the Canon Speedlite 320EX features a separate LED light that can illuminate the main subject and additional subjects in the background. The LED light can be especially useful in dim light situations. The use of the LED function can result in the creation of a natural lighting type of environment. The Canon Speedlite 320EX can provide ideal light for video recording, use with a zoom lens or as an assistant beam. When used with a camera with E-TTL metering the lighting results can be excellent. Canon uses the term E-TTL to describe a through the lens metering system in which the light exposure is controlled in an automatic or semi-automatic manner. Telephoto capabilities are (50mm full frame equivalent, max Guide Number 105 ft./32m at ISO 100) settings. The Speedlite 320EX can be used in off camera mode as a wireless slave unit when used with an EOS digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera that has built in transmitters. The wireless slave function supports three groups and four channels in the off camera mode. The Canon Speedlite 320EX Flash also has a flash release function that allows the flash to be operated remotely with a 2 second delay, increasing its wireless capabilities. Flashes for the speedlight have a recycle time of 0.1 to 2.3 seconds, it is quickly ready for the next photo or video. Power for the Canon Speedlite 320EX Flash is provided by four AA batteries. With its internal power supply, the Speedlite can be operated without the need of external cables or wires. With fully charged batteries the Speedlite can provide up to four hours of continuous lighting. The head of the shoe mount flash tilts up to 90 degrees, left to 180 degrees, and right to 90 degrees. This capability of head tilt can provide adequate light on the subject of the photo shoot and allow the photographer to alter the flash based on the lighting requirements of the environment. The flash coverage may be switched by retracting or extending the flash head with normal (24mm, full frame equivalent, guide number 79. ft/24m at ISO 100) The Speedlite works with a variety of Canon cameras and lenses. Accessories for the Speedlite include a soft case and mini stand. Other accessories offered are additional cases, light diffusers, and instruction booklets. The Speedlite is compact and lightweight. Its’ dimensions are 3.1 inches by 2.8 inches by 4.5 inches. The flash weighs 9.8 ounces with a shipping weight of 1 pound. The Speedlite has the ability to bounce light and produce a variety of lighting effects. This capability can allow the photographer to produce professional looking results. The ability of the Speedlite to be flexible in its’ angle as well as its off camera function can create exciting lighting effect possibilities for the photographer.

    Canon 320 EX Speedlite Manual

    This manual was so much help, It really is a must have, because you will be looking at it time & Time again, Lighting is very important in Photo's as we all know. How to create that perfect lighting for ever photo. Lighting is really the heart of great photo's . I only wish that I had make sure that the book was with the Speedlite when I purchased it on EBay's, so Please do your homework, or read a little closer then I did.

    I like it, Great all in 1 to expand your creativity.

    Great little flash with rotating head,shutter remote and LED light.With 4 batteries its a little top heavy. Great all in 1 to expand your creativity.I think the shutter remote only works on a timer and in certain modes but I am not sure. The hot shoe lock has a nice feature of a button release.

    Very economical

    I love the size of this speedlite flash, I have the 430ex also, but it's much larger than the 320... The 430 has a little more power and more settings built into the flash, but the 320 is more convenient for travel and space, plus I think it works great for the canon rebel series and the 70d model, for video output in low light conditions... the 430 does not have that feature... I bought another one of these because I gave my daughter my other, I want to always keep this in my carry bag.

    Nice Flash - Solid and Reliable

    Nice flash - solid, dependable, fairly compact, yet big enough to do the job in all but the largest rooms. I own three of these - all purchased used for a third of the cost of a new one - they work great with all full frame and APSC DSLRs and mirrorless Canon cameras. Good value. TT

    Easy to carry

    I bought this flash unit knowing that it was a smaller version. It is exactly what I wanted. It is easy to carry, mount on the camera and use. I use it to fill in the shadows that are so distracting and it is easy to configure so that there is no harsh flash that gives an artificial look.
