true enough, but a title like that implies boring visuals.......and they were.
I had hopes, but the show is just too slow getting going, and its a long boring wait for action....also, several aspects of story were downright unpleasant. Liam Neeson is always good, but i cannot recommend THIS film......

The Grey has exciting ambition and the highest emotional stakes imaginable,
It's excellent to get to the end of The Grey and feel something, and there's no doubt that the especially stellar action sequences are made better because Carnahan gives us reason to care about the people in them. But when you've got the soulful, inherently compelling Liam Neeson in the lead role, you don't need nearly as much of the high drama that The Grey tosses in at the beginning and especially the end, with childhood flashbacks and even poetry letting us inside the mind of a man who could convey all of that anguish and strength in a single close-up. The Grey has exciting ambition and the highest emotional stakes imaginable, but it also feels like a bit of an overshot; if this is the welcome new direction Joe Carnahan is taking his career, here's hoping he ... Enjoyable movie about a group of oil rig workers who survive a plane crash in the Alaskan wilderness. Many were killed, and all are suffering from various injuries, but one thing is for sure - they can't wait around for rescue because they suddenly find themselves stalked by vicious wolves. Their only hope of survival is to make it to civilization. The film has an excellent cast, Liam Neeson, Frank Grillo, Dermot Mulroney, Dallas Roberts, Joe Anderson, James Badge Dale, Nonso Anozie, and Ben Bray. There really aren't any heroes or villains, just the bitter cold and the wolves who pursue the survivors relentlessly. This film seems to sort of get bogged down at times, and could have possibly been shorter. You be the judge. excellent movie
really good movie to watch....... I have already watched it about 5 times..... it is a down to earth movie.....no glamour..... great movie.........

An Action Thriller That doesn't Disappoint
If you like movies about survival then this is a must see. It is another Liam Neeson thriller with non-stop action from the beginning til the end. The DVD was used, but practically looked brand new. It arrived quick, thanks agin for the excellent movie.
