Maybe that's why we can't see anything when we try to look into the future. Could it be there is no future - or, perhaps, that it will be so fundamentally different from what we know that our minds simply can't comprehend it? The remarkable fact is, however, that 2,000 years ago - in some cases, even longer - men made bold predictions about the future. And these detailed and specific predictions - these fully documented prophecies - are being fulfilled at an astonishing rate and with dazzling accuracy right before our eyes! What are these prophecies? Well, Bible scholars have documented 38 major areas of prophetic fulfillment. Obviously, we could fill several volumes discussing and analyzing all of them. But in our ministry's latest video documentary, "Last Days: Hype or Hope? An Investigative Report," we focus on just five. We asked an experienced investigative reporting team to take a fresh, objective look at the material Rexella and I have been gathering over our lifetimes - to check and verify everything and to draw their own conclusions from the facts they found. I think you will be as impressed by the presentation as the investigative team was with what can only be described as the greatest news story ever told! No. 1: The rebirth of Israel All modern-day Bible prophecy study begins with Israel. Why? Because God has always loved the Jews, we're told in Deuteronomy 7:7-8. It's part of a holy covenant He made with Israel's fathers. In Zechariah 2:8, He calls the Jews "the apple of His eye." In Jeremiah 3:14, we learn that God chose Israel to be His bride, just as Jesus chose the church to be His wife in Ephesians 5. Nevertheless, God warned His chosen people that if they did not obey His commandments they would be dispersed and persecuted. In Deuteronomy 28:65-66, written almost 3,500 years ago, Moses predicted the scattering - this "Diaspora": "And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest; but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind. And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have no assurance of thy life..." Today, of course, no historian could deny the reality of this Diaspora - one that lasted nearly 2,000 years. Did this happen with any other nation - with any other people - in the history of the world? No. Only the Jews were scattered and wandered around the world and knew persecution so severe there was doubt they would survive as a people."
