As the name suggests, "Super Street Fighter IV" is an updated version of "Street Fighter IV." You'll choose one of over 30 fighters and face off in one-on-one combat against another opponent. Each fighter in this title has their own story to tell. In the Arcade game type, you'll select a fighter and do battle with over five computer-controlled opponents. Along the way, you'll learn what motivated your character to enter this tournament. Upon beating the game, you'll receive an ending along with a score. If you're just interested in beating Arcade mode, it will take over 15 hours to fully complete it. The title was both developed and published by Capcom and had a worldwide release date of 2010."Super Street Fighter IV" is a fighting game where you and a single opponent fight to the death. Every hit depletes the character's life bar, but you can block, dodge and counter attacks to stay alive. You can also chain moves together to create combos, which will deal extra damage. Every combatant in "Super Street Fighter IV" has their own unique special moves. For example, Ryu can throw a fireball while Chun Li can kick rapidly. After you've landed enough hits, you can activate an Ultra Move. These powerful attacks will decimate a quarter of your opponent's life in one blow. Each of the fighters in this PS3 Capcom game was rebalanced. Some moves were made stronger, while others were made weaker. This rebalancing was done to place every character in the game on equal, fair footing."Super Street Fighter IV" for the PS3 added 10 brand new characters to the roster. Returning from "Street Fighter II" are Dee Jay and T Hawk. Adon, Guy, and Cody make their way over from "Street Fighter Alpha." From the "Street Fighter III" games, Ibuki, Makoto, and Dudley enter the fight. This "Street Fighter" chapter also introduces two brand new characters: Juri and El Hakan. You can play and battle on one of five new stages. Some of these stages, such as Skyscraper Under Construction, are based on other Capcom games.This new "Street Fighter" edition also adds exciting modes. The story mode has two minigames to play where you'll either destroy a car or attempt to smash all the barrels before time runs out. Like past video games in this franchise, there is a multiplayer game type as well. Up to two players can battle each other both locally and online. There are a number of new multiplayer modes, such as Endless Battle, where the winner of a match remains to fight again. The loser then waits in a virtual line behind other players. This gameplay simulates the arcade scene of past titles in the "Street Fighter" series.This PlayStation 3 title features an almost infinite amount of replayability. Whether against the CPU or another human, no two matches are the same. You'll find it easy to continue playing matches as you seek to improve your skills. This PlayStation game will make an excellent addition to your collection. If you find yourself frequently hosting gaming parties, your friends will love "Street Fighter 4."

    Great game

    If someone were to walk up to me and ask what fighting game they should buy, my answer would be Super Street Fighter IV. In standard Capcom fashion, the company has updated a celebrated fighter, in this case Street Fighter IV, and added a whole pile of features and playable characters to make a improved product. With a bigger online suite and a bunch of other tweaks, this is the better version of Street Fighter IV, meaning it's one of the best fighters around. Because Street Fighter IV's mechanics are well known at this point, the question of whether or not you really want to pick this up comes down to the new content it offers. There aren't any major changes to the basic fighting system. There's still the Super Combo Gauge that lets you pull off EX moves and supers. The Revenge Gauge ...

    New Sense of Nostalgia

    I was excited to get this game due to the mix of fighters from the Alpha, II, III series as well as a few new characters. The flashiness of the Ultra combos is quite nice and the 3D rendering of the characters is quite detailed. The controls are classic Street Fighter. They say Super Street Fighter IV has fixed the a lot of the imbalances from Street Fighter IV but it seems to me that there still are some inbalances yet to be corrected. Overall I'm enjoying the experience with old faves and look forward to loving the new additions.

    Great treat for any fan of fighting games

    Already strong in the fighting genre, Capcom creates yet another fantastic game in the Street Fighter series. Like every game from before, SFIV has some old favorites as well as some cool new characters in the roster each with their own story, personality and of course their own style of combat and techniques. The SUPER edition has greatly improved on the online feature and certainly improves many more things in the game. Capcom just doesn't know how to make a bad game.

    CAPCOM DID IT AGAIN!!!

    If you’re like me, the moment the announcement of Super Street Fighter IV came out, you had a mix of excitement and concern. The excitement came at the possibility of a great game getting some tweaks and bonuses and being even better. The concern was mostly from those who grew up in the 90’s playing one new edition of Street Fighter II after another. Back then, tacking on “Super” and adding a couple characters warranted another release. Thankfully it’s not the 90’s and this new “Super” edition of Street Fighter IV goes much further to advance the series than adding a couple characters. For those who picked up the original Street Fighter IV last year, the biggest issue was the online component. Everything else was solid.     A must by for fighting game fans

    With all the acclaim out there, there isn't much more I can say that will do this game justice. For all the reviews that gave this game a 9 or more, they were right. I Loved it. Can’t wait to play Super Street Fighter IV this coming spring. The game also let's you prioritize whether or not you want it to look for the most stable connection for those jump in matches, which makes the online great. In the end, great job Capcom. As you get into the game. It's it truly worth the money, I can't up it down. If you like Street Fighter or fighting games in general, get this game. Even if you don't care for the series or the genre, this time around, you are more than likely to find something you like about this game that will make invest serious hours into it.
