    Paranoia and humidity--a lethal combination!

    Not many thrillers are set in Houston, despite the fact that it's generally steamy. Black Water Rising combines some of the best-known aspects of Houston, such as being an energy capital, with some of its less well-known ones, like the murky bayou that winds through the richest and poorest neighborhoods. Add some political intrigue and nostalgia for the activist days of the 60s and 70s, and you've got a complex and satisfying mystery.

    Black Water Rising

    The book was suspenseful. I was very intrigued by the story. I do not want to give any of the story line away but I would recommend this book to those who like to read mystery novels.
