Product Information

Take the role of a unique, customized character to adventure with other gamers from across the country. As in the Dreamcast and GameCube versions of this title, players design their characters from a choice of a dozen character types and three different classes. Adventurers meet in futuristic space station headquarters then travel to the surface of a dangerous alien planet to seek rewarding battle with deadly monsters. This version of the game offers a single-player mode, a two-player split-screen mode, and an online multiplayer mode. Online play with this version of Phantasy Star requires an internet connection and the Xbox Live service. Additionally, gamers must have a "Hunter's License," which is free for the first two months of play and available by monthly subscription thereafter.

    great game

    I first borrowed this game from a friend for the Gamecube, and the only fault i could find was that i didn't want to buy a a modem for my console for just one game. The Xbox version is practicly the same, with only some minor changes, but with some many other games the Net was no longer a problem. despite what the game box says it is NOT reliant on having Live. it is a great stand alone game that survived from the Sega era, which is reflected in its graphics. the 12 choices for character type and countless possible looks per type, combined with 8 multiple-staged (2 or 3 stages) levels, and 4 difficulty levels, and online gameplay provide not just days like some games, but months of entertainment before you finnaly reach the ends. a great game that is well worth the price in ...

    The Game PSO 1&2

    published by Sega in 2000 RPG game, excellent. Cannot be reproduced in XBOX ONE S/X or SERIES X

    Damaged and scratched game

    Many complained the game doesn't work, no duh you gotta play it on a modded system and patch the game to play offline... anyways the case was wrecked and the game has lots of scratches but I burned to my hard drive and laptop to avoid it.

    Great multiplayer RPG title! Classic!

    One of my all time favorite games. Not only a great game to play by yourself, but also great as it is a multiplayer game of four, in RPG style where players can choose a class, find rare items, and level up, making it a long-play time game that you and your friends can sit down and enjoy for many days. However, I prefer to play the PC version online, but this game is a great alternative for when friends are over that do not all have a computer!

    PSO Ep. 1+2 for XBOX

    I decided to buy this product because I lost my gamecube version and wanted a replacement. I noticed how cheap all the xbox versions were and found that they also had offline multiplayer mode so I bought it. The only problem is... you cant play the game at all unless you have a gamertag for xbox live with a valid subscription code! I had an old gamertag but not xbox live gold and I wasn't about to pay for xbox live just for an offline game. I should have done my homework on the game before buying it. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE XBOX LIVE GOLD OR PLAN ON SPENDING A LOT OF TIME LEARNING TO HACK/MOD TO GET IT TO WORK.
