    All Tupac fans should purchase for sure!

    This was a gift for my teen. She’s obsessed with Tupac. She was so happy to get this and it came in perfect condition. This book is full of Tupac’s poetry, thoughts and feels. How an average persons journal would look like. On 1 side I think it’s in his handwriting and the other side it’s printed. It did encourage her to get back into her journaling, so that’s definitely a good thing. She loves it. Good purchase. Every Tupac fan should have this book. You get a sense of who he really is aside of the rapper.

    Great Writings & Musings From a Young Legend

    The Rose That Grew From Concrete by Tupac Shakur is a great book. This book has so much wisdom and candor from a person who despite the media's attempts to make him just another rapper, comes out smelling like a rose. I just had this strange thought of Shakur sitting with Princess Diana and coming together to assist a nation of troubled, lost and angry teens. It could have been very cool to see them really turn the collars around on the stereotypes and collaborate for the good of youth. We have a generation of kids that will never pick up a pad of paper and write with a pen again. My point is that by seeing the connection Shakur makes with his emotions, struggles and triumphs all in writing. This allows the reader to see a glimpse of his soul and genius the way he felt at the time of ...

    Tupac rocks!

    In this personal and emotional collection, the late rapper and actor opens a window into his soul and invites the reader to look in. These poems may seem a stark contrast to many of his popular song lyrics but they are just more examples of the creativity and versatility of this gifted artist.

    Amazing Book

    I remember the first time I read this book it was amazing Even to myself I saw Tupac as a gangster rapper but reading the book gave me another light on him seeing his handwriting and made his the i to eyes was cool When time passed I keept saying to myself someday I have to buy that book and know I did

    The Book Students Fight Over

    As a middle school language arts teacher, poetry is at the core of my instruction. Some students become hooked on poetry when they realize that the song lyrics they listen to are actually poems set to music. Seeing Tupac's picture on the cover of this collection grabs their attention and reading his actual handwritten notebook entries makes the poems somehow more real. Many of Tupac's poems deal with topics students are dealing with such as loneliness, confusion, drugs, etc. My students will pull their desks together to share the book because they don't want to wait for one student to finish it before they can read it! I had not expected this book to have that kind of effect on them. It has been great and I think I will order more copies!
