    Saxon Algebra

    Mathematics does not insist of unconnected topics that can be filed in separate compartments, studies once, mastered and then neglected. Many pieces or concepts touch directly and must be studied in the context of all the other pieces. Unlike many math curriculums or the new approaches that come and go the Saxon Algebra series, teaches the foundational concepts one at a time, then builds on then as a part of the whole. Consistently adding new increments, while reviewing what has been taught before. Having used the Saxon math curriculum for our five student that we taught at home, (all did well in college level math) and twenty-two years in a homeschool coop, there is not other math curriculum I trust more.

    Easy to teach and use. Well worth the money

    The Saxon Math series has taken the frustration out of teaching a subject that some of us struggled with or may even be unfamiliar with. I have found that it is much less expensive and time consuming to use the Saxon Homeschool packet which was included in this purchase. This package gives you all of the solutions to the problems in the hardback textbook. The package also includes test answers. If you find, like I did, that the Test Form booklet is missing from your set then don't despair. The booklet can be found with a little research. The textbook breaks down the problems and explains the steps along the way. My son and I find it very easy to follow along. I highly recommend Saxon Algebra 2 to anyone homeschooling or looking for help in this subject.

    Good Refresher Book for Returning Student

    This book was used by the local community college, a few years back, for its Math 0950 Re-Introduction to Algebra for Adult Students course. As a part of the application process for the college, a prospective student must take a basic skills exam. My daughter had not used any algebra since high school and tested to this level for review of basic algebra skills. My daughter found the book and the course to be very helpful and she was able to CLEP out of Math 1010 after finishing this course as her forgotten algebra skills were refreshed very well by the text and the course. The reason that I leave only a GOOD rating rather than excellent is that there is no longer an answer guide available, to assist the students with their homework, that goes along with this book.     Amazing price for an excellent product

    The price on this priduct was unbelievably low and the service was good. They were very up front about how long it would take and it got there well below that time. Saxon mathematics is the best way for the non-math or afraid of math person to learn. I found this out when I homeschooled my children. Now it is my turn to go back to school and the nursing degree requires math up to Algebra 2. I hadn't done any higher math for years but still owned the 76 and 87 and Algebra 1/2, the pre Algebra course. I studied for about a month before taking assessment tests. I passed the first one with flying colors and they asked me to come back and take another test at a higher level. I passed that one too and now can go straight into Algebra 2.     Constant review of content

    We have used Saxon over many years of homeschooling and it worked well for my children who are good readers and can work independently. The content is reviewed constantly, promoting retention of concepts.
