Cake Mania review
I had this game downloaded into my phone and was completely addicted to it. So I decided to purchase the game for my DS. Glad I did! Although the storyline is pretty much the same, it is definitely more of a challenge playing the DS version. Although this game is lots of fun and relatively easy to play....the only drawback is that the icons for the frosting and cake toppers are so small, that it is easy to hit the wrong one and thus create a cake that MAY be useless if you are unable to use it for another incoming customer. Overall...I would definitely recommend this game! It's a lot of fun to serve the customers and earn money for your bakery upgrades. For an age group....it really depends on how well you handle a stylus. You have to serve multiple customers who get cranky if ... It's Good, but I like the PC Version Better
I have played this game on my PC and I loved it, but I do not like the DS version as much. Having a smaller screen makes controlling the girl a lot harder. For instance, on the cake symbols on the oven it is hard to click whether you want square, triangle, etc... I went through 3 levels and had to put it down because I was getting frustrated because of clicking the wrong things. This could just be me, but it is really slow going at first. I have not played the PC version in quite awhile, but it seems the girl is a lot slower in the DS version and that adds to the frustration.
