Build your own A-10 "Warthog" Thunderbolt
Nice size model with plenty of detail. Challenging but not overwhelming. Fun to build and the parts all fit nicely together. I wanted a shark's teeth nose art finish which was not included in kit but I found a set on eBay. There is also an neat option to arm the Thunderbolt with 3 different weapon configurations.

It's an older A-10 kit, but still the most accurate A-10 in regards to shape profile
The Revell/Monogram 48th A-10 has been around since mid 1980s. It does have some fit issues and but detail is quite nice, though is a bit soft in some areas. The cockpit detail is well done, except for the poorly done ACES II Ejection seat which is unfortunately molded into the cockpit tub. It's not that easy to remove and replace. The kit's fixed open Decelerons (speed brakes) is great for an in-flight dive display, but not for a static display. After market closed decelerons are available or they can be closed by the modeler without too much effort. One of the best characteristics of the Revell/Monogram A-10 is that even against the two more modern A-10 kits (Hobbyboss & Italeri), it still retains the most accurate shaped A-10. The old Tamiya and ESCI A-10 kits are not even in the ... The Revell/Monogram 48th A-10 has been around since mid 1980s. Here is the Monogram A-10 with SHM LASTE/Ladder, Inlet/Eng Fan, & DRA Updates. This Also has a Black Box Cockpit.

Reveal 1/48 Warthog
Ok kit for the price. Revell box is soft cardboard and will be damaged. Bit of flash on the parts but mountings look ok. Cockpit is rudimentary and you can only build with landing gear down and airbrakes open. If you are looking for a great kit, spend the extra money and get the Tamiya kit for a few more bucks.

One of my favorites.
It's a fun build. Not too difficult. The canopy & brake-flaps on the wings are fixed in an open position. I cut mine apart & then glued them closed. The engines an be a little difficult to paint around after assembly, but not impossible. That's how I did mine. Not a wheels-up friendly build, but it can be done. again that's how I went with it this time. It looks really good with canopy & flaps open as well, Realistic ladder for pilot. The A-10 Thunderbolt , the greatest ground support combat plane ever built!!
I like the A-10 Thunderbolt.I liked it all put together . The only gripe that I have is, it could have been packaged a little bit better. All the landing gear was broke along with a couple of bombs, but other than that, it was ok.
