Focused on the couturier capital of the Western Hemisphere, the Fashion Designer New York entry in Ubisoft's occupationally oriented Imagine line provides an interactive sampling of the creative side of the fashion industry while encouraging players to create and develop new looks and styles. From sketchpads to photo shoots, stylus-friendly design workshops, and colorful mini-games allow players to follow the career of an up-and-coming designer about to make it big in the big city. Players can choose from a variety of elements to piece together a new ensemble, and additional fabrics and design components are unlocked in the Clothing Workshop.<br><br>When the outfit is just right, it should be worn just right, so further workshops allow players to choose the make-up, nail polish, and hairstyles of the models who debut their masterpieces to the public. The game also provides behind-the-scenes fashion show insights in a Catwalk Workshop mode. Capturing the moments, up to 50 photos of the models and clothes can be stored and organized in the Photo Workshop. Although the game is based in New York City, trends in other fashion-savvy places (such as Italy and France) are given due consideration, as players ultimately aim for worldwide fame and acclaim.

Best fashion design game ever!!
The graphics are good. Depth of the training keeps my child busy for hours. In the game, you are in charge of designing and selection of clothes along with hair, makeup and the like for fashion runway shows. This game was purchased for my 10 year old daughter and she can't stop playing it. A huge hit!!

Great game for aspiring fashion designer
My 9 year old daughter got this game for her bday and she absolutely LOVES it. It is challenging enough for her without being frustrating. And it teaches her how to think and follow directions. She is actually learning from this game which i like since it is one her favorite past times. I would recommend this game to any one who has a 8 year old or older child who likes fashion and dress up and wants to "pretend" to be a NY fashion designer.My 9 year old daughter got this game for her bday and she absolutely LOVES it. Imagine Fashion Designer New York
This is a fun game for Nintendo DS. I was looking for games, since I just got a DS for christmas, and I would say this one is one of the better ones. The only bad thing is that you have to read all the text word by word, and it's all played via stylus. Other than that, it's great.

Great for Tweens
I bought this for my daughter (11 yrs) because she is wanting to become a fashion designer. She designs on the game for hours. She likes the variety of accessories etc she can choose from. The game allows you to design outfits, from tops & bottoms to shoes and accessories, hair etc. Well worth purchasing if your child is interested in fashion!
