À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Imitations are rarely as good as the original. When it comes to wah-wah effects, the Dunlop GCB95 Cry Baby wah pedal can set the standard in terms of sound and quality. You can get the classic wah howl that artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton loved in the 60s. This guitar effects petal can be an essential addition to your guitar gear. Dunlop is a US-based manufacturer of guitar, music gear and accessories. Its product roster includes strings, picks, capos, straps, effects pedals and multi-effects processors. Jim Dunlop founded his company in 1965 and earned instant recognition for producing quality effects and gear. The Dunlop Cry Baby Wah was one of the company’s original wahs. Although its sound was modeled after the Vox Cry Baby pedal, the Dunlop version quickly became the leader due to its excellent sound. It can create a rhythmic, slightly funky wah effect that appears on many famous recordings. Dunlop has also released several artist signature versions of the classic pedal, including the JH-1 Jimi Hendrix Signature, SW-95 Slash Signature, and ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature. Wah-wah can be an excellent effect to add to your guitar gear. This type of pedal bends the tone of your instrument, imitating the sound you make when you say “wah-wah.” Although it was originally intended to mimic the sound of a mute in a trumpet bell, the wah pedal developed its own characteristic howl. Wah pedals can work best in solos and lead guitar riffs. The Dunlop GCB95 Cry Baby wah pedal includes high quality electronics that can keep it sounding great through years of use. It features a Hot Potz potentiometer which can bend pitches with amazing response times. It features both a power adapter input and a battery connection, which can let you choose how you power the device. If you are near a power source, simply plug in the AC adapter. If you want to keep your stage clear of extra cables, you can add a 9-volt battery. The pedal includes a bypass switch, so you can turn it on and off while you continue to play. This effect’s inductor can help produce its classic analog sound. It can be easy to set up and start using the Dunlop Cry Baby wah pedal. You can simply add a power source, plug a guitar into the input connection, and connect the output to a guitar amp. Like most guitar pedals, this model connects to guitars, amplifiers, and gear with 1/4-inch patch cords. You can also chain this pedal to other effects such as reverb, overdrive, and gain. To create a chain, you can connect the input or output to other pedals instead of directly to your guitar and amp. Usually, the Cry Baby wah pedal works best in the first position in a chain; however, if you are using tuner or filter pedals, you could use those first in the chain. Whether you are a Jimi Hendrix fan or you listen to modern guitar greats, the Dunlop Cry Baby wah pedal can be a good addition to your effects gear. You can purchase this pedal to send a fantastic crying howl through your amp.

  • The Cry Baby GCB95 is a decent wah Pedal

Hello: The wah pedal has been around for a long time, over the years they have changed, but the basic effect is still there. I like Cry Baby Wah's, but the problem is they are not true bypass and they are tone suckers when plugged into your guitar and amplifier. Also the inductor in the wah is ok, but it lacks that classic tone. Dunlop offers true bypass wah's and wah's with better inductors, but they charge more for them, my opinion is to look up information on the internet, buy the parts yourself and try modding the wah yourself. it can be done and it is simple. The regular cry baby wah pedal can be found all over and very affordable. The old Wah's by Clyde Mc Coy, Vox, Thomas Organ and others are not the same, the tones are completely different, there are companies out there ...

  • The original Cry Baby Wah

I got this wah pedal because it's needed for certain songs such as Money for Nothing - Dire Straits. I know that there are other brands of Wah pedals but some won't let you set it in one position and stay there when you take your foot off. But this one does and I like it. It seems to go through batteries quickly but it has an AC adapter which takes care of that problem. The Dunlop Wah pedals have heavy cast metal housings and are really durable. These pedals are expensive to buy new but this used one was more affordable, works perfectly and has the sound I wanted. The eBay seller was very accommodating of my request for a less expensive shipping option. Overall I am completely happy with this purchase.

  • hard to beat a crybaby

one constant on my pedalboard for the last 48 years is the crybaby wah. the one that ebay asked me to review was actually and older gcb25, the ones before the power supply jack. it had a dunlop bottom plate on it, hence the confusion. but anyway you go, hard to beat a crybaby. they sound great, are built like a tank, and easy to mod to your ear's delight. everybody needs a good wah, and the real fancy expensive ones are nothing more than tricked out copies of this tried and true well tested circuit. the gcb95 has buffering, which may or may not be an issue. no stock crybabys are true bypass, either.

  • Dunlop Limited Edition Cry Baby Wah Pedal

Really diggin the white finish on this. I thought they only came in the bass models but I was super stoked to get the White Limited Edition!! Has a short throw on the pedal, shorter action than the stock act Baby by Dunlop but I like that actually. Work well through the pedal and faster. Super sick pedal. Stoked to get it. Was the only one on eBay!! Thanks

  • Good pedal, poor battery door.

The GCB95 is apparently the same circuitry as the original Thomas Organ models. Anyone who has used one knows what the upside and down side of this pedal. The tone it produces is very useful if not overused when trying express yourself while playing lead. The build quality is better than the original, like the input jacks, etc. The battery door is a good idea vs. taking off the bottom plate. The downside of the battery door is that is made of plastic & can Be broken easily.. Just check eBay items. I have a Morley pedal also & usually prefer the crybaby. Thanks Dunlop!
