An army of Nazis from the dark side of the moon launch an all-out attack on planet Earth after biding their time on the lunar surface for 70 years in this irreverent sci-fi comedy starring Udo Kier and Julia Dietze. The year is 2018. Defeated in 1945, a devoted group of Nazis led by General Wolfgang Kortzfleisch (Kier) blast off for the moon and begin to regroup at a hidden base. As work commences on the Götterdämmerung, a mighty warship that will strike fear into the people of planet Earth, Renate Richter (Julia Dietze) uses a truncated version of Charlie Chaplin's THE GREAT DICTATOR to extol the brilliance of Hitler to the next generation of Aryan soldiers. In addition, the imposing Klaus Adler (Götz Otto) prepares to take his position as the next führer and father a new master race with Renate. Meanwhile, the U.S. president (Stephanie Paul) attempts to boost her approval ratings by dressing black model James Washington (Christopher Kirby) as an astronaut and sending him on a mission to the moon. When the Nazis capture Washington and get a good look at his smartphone, they believe they have finally found the key to updating their outdated technology, and they journey back to Earth in order to gather enough gadgets to launch their final attack and reclaim the planet in the name of the Third Reich.

So absurd & realistic, such a beautiful farce
This film was created and directed by a group of satirists who have done great work over the years with spoofs of popular media like Star Trek. Now, they turn their eyes towards a brilliant and original plot with a unique premise and compelling character arcs. The acting is brilliant and the direction and spectacle are on par with only a few. This film resonates of reality and drives home a fantastic plot with so many levels of humor for the viewer to relish. From beginning to end, you will be enthralled. Serious Funny, prepare to be offended no matter who you are.
I saw the previews for this movie back in February and was expecting to see it in a general release for here in the USA, but it never showed up. I was glad to see it appear on ebay and very glad to see it in my mailbox. The Movie is a comedy and it has some great funny parts and directly points at the dangers of “Revisionist History”. No nation is left unscathed and America’s infatuation with the election of idols rather than leaders is spotlighted. It is “R” rated so I expected some language but there are a couple of scenes that contain so much swearing that it becomes unnecessary even in the scope of the films “over the Top” abuse of everything else. Overall it is a fun film. Definitely worth a look Indy.....
Decidedly different and definitely worth a look Indy, pretty cool FX and decent acting and really cool they acknowledged the independent investor's.

Funny, low budget sci-fi that I found surprisingly entertaining. Looking forward to the sequel in 2017.
