    A real phone that will not quit just cause I am a little rough!

    I bought the Samsung Rugby A837 for two reasons, one was the low cost, the other was that I had just went through two phones (one I dropped in water and the other I crushed up against my desk in my pocket when I stood up)so I needed a rugged phone. I like the speaker it can be really loud(a true speaker phone)for voice or music or ringtone.It works good with my BlincII bluetooth Helmet in voice and music. It works with my Motorola bluetooth in voice but will not play music from the phone. Has full calendar that appointments can be put on. One thing I cannot get it to do is be recognized by my 64 bit computer, I have to take the memory card out and plug into it. I do not like the size, it is a little thicker than I like, just a little too thick to put in my pants pocket all the time.

    Good, solid phone with long battery life for both standby and talk time.

    This is a replacement phone for a previous Rugby that I broke (yes, broke!). I dropped it multiple times and cracked the hinge after about 1.5 years. It was still usable and I had already ordered this phone when I dropped my current Rugby again and the phone was in 2 pieces and therefore, unusable. It is a good, reliable phone with long battery life and long talk time. It also has a slot that you can connect to a strap similar to a small camera, which for a klutz like me was still not enough. Basic camera, enough for shots to personalize contacts. Okay for limited texting. Easily customizable for display settings, but I was already familiar w/ it and still have the instruction manual that came w/ my original phone. This phone still had the plastic film on the outside display window ...

    Rugged and Feature Packed.

    I have been wanting this particular phone for a while now. When it comes to phones I always by mil-spec, as they last long and can take a beating. This phone is awesome, it has bluetooth, camera (video and still) sms and mms, and even a push to talk. I enjoy all of these features except for the ptt which I cannot use because I have a Go-Phone Account. This phone was sold to me in very good condition at a price lower than what phones in fair condition were selling for, so I am very satisfied about that. I do lots of sms and mms communications, so this is perfect for me. The 1.3 megapixel camera produces unbelievably stunning photos for its quality. This phone also has an extensive memory and can be upgraded with a mini SD card. I have downloaded all kinds of pics and tunes and I ...

    The Perfect Phone for the Simple Man

    The Rugby phone is a great phone for MEN because it takes a beating and keeps on ticking but the most impressive are the large number keys and Large numbers and letters on the display .You can run over it with a car ,drop it off a mountain and in the toilet and it will keep on working BUT let your 15 month old Grandaughter play with it and she will find a way to tear it up lol the hinge broke within 5 minutes on my old one . Overall the battery life compact size ,large keys and display ,voice clarity and applications make it a keeper for me .Btw It's a phone and not a computer, stereo or blender and that's all I need

    Great tough phone for person tough on phones

    My husband is the worlds hardest person on a phone. Between him being himself and his job a cell phone doesn't have a chance. I had looked at a lot of phones claiming to be tough and he has gone through many of them . I came across the rugby. It is a tough phone . He dropped it out of his pocket one morning on his way to work , I came home from work and found it, or rather the dog found it under my tire it was vibrating , so I backed up cleaned it up , it was in mud , and by golly it still worked !!!! I am sold on the tough little phone. Works great many features even has a camera . Not fancy but works great
