Nine days after her seventeenth birthday, singing sensation Renee Olstead and her stunning bluesy jazz voice take flight with her second major-label album, SKYLARK. Backed by esteemed producer/ arranger David Foster (Josh Groban, Michael Bubli, Celine Dion) on strings, piano, horns and often keyboards, Olstead stamps her mark on standards and modern classics and premieres four originals she co-wrote, including one with Foster. CD arrived in perfect condition. Completely satisfied with this purchase.
A lifelong musician, I was unaware of Rene Olstead, but that, thankfully, has changed. She is one of the most impressive vocal artists I have ever heard. Her beautiful voice combined with unique artistry make this CD an absolute treasure. I give it the highest possible recommendation.

Bought this CD because I own two of her other ones. Hard to beleive she is only 18! She loves singing these old standards, and the arrangements are just great! Have listend to the CD 4 times since I got it and enjoy all the songs. Title song stands out and so does Hold me Now, Midnight in Austin. Very enjoyable Cd for a drive or just some music to play while doing other things. Would put this young lady on a favorite singer list. Really enjoy all her music. Renee Olstead "Skylark" Review
This new CD of hers is really good just like the first one from about 5 years ago. She does a fantastic job of anything she sings especially on the standards that she records. A very good cd for any one who likes the standards, and Smooth Jazz. I highly recommend it. Give this artist a chance since airplay of her music is very limited. You won't be dissapointed.
