The chase is on for the mice that have stolen Kirby's strawberry shortcake in “Kirby Squeak Squad,” a traditional platformer for the Nintendo DS. Take control of Kirby, a cute pink puffball, and use all of his classic moves. You will travel through eight different worlds, chasing after the mischievous Squeaks. Utilize all of his abilities, including food items and 25 other upgradeable powers, for even more fun action. Released in 2006, “Squeak Squad” springs from the inventive minds of the ingenious developers at HAL Laboratory, an internal Nintendo studio and creator of the franchise.Defeating foes is even easier and a lot more interesting with Kirby's enhanced capacity to copy and combine the skills of the enemies he’s inhaled. By consuming a fire enemy, for example, Kirby gains the ability to shoot fire. He can also throw bombs, use magic, create a tornado, or even transform into a UFO. The game also lets you combine these abilities together to unlock unique skills and open up entirely new strategies. For instance, combining the ice and the sword skills will create an ice sword for extra power.“Squeak Squad” is played mostly with the face buttons, but it does make limited use of the Nintendo DS's touch screen capabilities. Kirby is able to collect and store his imitation abilities and items on the lower screen of the handheld system. Simply select them with your hand or the stylus to use them. The game also introduces ability scrolls for the very first time, which power up any skills that you have chosen. Use these items and skills to help you defeat the squeaks and return Kirby's scrumptious strawberry shortcake to its rightful owner.Once you have finished the main story mode in “Kirby Squeak Squad,” you can go back through the levels and collect the items you might have missed. Each level contains up to three different treasure chests, which unlock additional game content, including jigsaw pieces and hidden keys that unlock secret levels. Only the most diligent gamers will collect all of the treasure chests strewn throughout the game.Bring up to four friends together and share the fun in multiplayer mode using wireless single-card or multi-card play. Multiplayer sub-game options include Treasure Shot, in which players compete to collect the most desserts. Speedy Teatime challenges players to eat as much cake as possible by tapping on them with the stylus. Smash Ride allows you to launch Kirby’s enemies off of the arena to earn points. “Squeak Squad” also features a single-player boss endurance mode, in which you must beat all the game's bosses again with limited access to healing items.“Kirby Squeak Squad” is a classic title for fans of the series or the platformer genre in general. It is appropriate for the whole family to play. Whether you're a novice or veteran player, this game will engross and entertain you with its colorful characters, charming settings, and fun gameplay. a good platformer that doesn't disappoint
Kirby: Squeak Squad is a fun platformer for anybody. looking at the box, you may think its a little to young styled for you. Well it definately is not. within the first ten minutes, you will be hooked. from copying abilities, to using these abilities, from begining to end you won't be able to put it down. its not just a simple get to the end of the stage, there are hidden doors, secrets to collect, and when you get to nab the big chest theres someone always on your tail. you can use the touch screen to mix items and choose what you want to use. anyone who has ever played a kirby game will be happy to see some original characters returning. this game is not one to miss out on.Kirby: Squeak Squad is a fun platformer for anybody. looking at the box, you may think its a little to young styled for you. It’s a good time overall
I like it’s similarity to Nightmare in Dream land. The levels can be a bit repetitive but it’s overall a great game that I recommend for any Kirby Collector

Kirby Squeak Squad
This game is very good. The game is not as long as Kirby's Nightmare in dream land for the GBA, but this game, is enough. You start off in the beginning finding out that Kirby's shortcake is stolen by the theifs called the Squeaks. So you start out by going thru levels, and there alot to do. there are ALOT of copy abilities, brand new ones too, like Metal, and Bubble, and now you can mix abilities to create other ones almost kinda like Kirby 64 for the n64. There is ALOT to collect, from scrolls, medals, ghost things, and tons of others like different colors to paint kirby and all. IF you go thru the game to beat it, its not long, but to collect all 100% of everything every chest, and medal and item, than it long. A really good and rare game for the DS system! Shut up and take my money!
"Early afternoon in Dream Land, it's so peaceful even the clouds are drowsy. And now it's Kirby's favorite time of day--snack time. Today's yummy snack is a sweet, fluffy slice of Strawberry Shortcake! Time to dig in... Whoa! The cake Kirby was about to eat suddenly vanished! That scrumptious, berry-topped slice of mouth-watering goodness... No doubt about it! This must be the work of that greedy King Dedede! Well there's no time to waste! Gotta get that cake back! And that's how Kirby's latest fantastic adventure begins..." Squeak Squad's entrance At the end of the game's first world, Kirby finds out that the Squeaks- an infamous group of treasure-thieving mice are the ones behind the robbery. Kirby follows the thieves on a journey that takes him all over Dream Land. Then Kirby travels ... "Early afternoon in Dream Land, it's so peaceful even the clouds are drowsy. At the end of World 6, a battle ensues between Kirby and the leader of the Squeaks, Daroach. Kirby wins the battle, and is about to get the treasure chest supposedly containing his cake when Meta Knight swoops in and snatches the chest away. Kirby chases Meta Knight to the end of World 7 also called Secret Sea, where a duel between the two rivals ensues. Meta Knight is defeated and gives up the treasure chest, which Kirby is about to open when the Squeaks fly in and grab it from him. Daroach opens it, but the chest does not contain Kirby's cake, but a cloud of dark-colored stuff that ensnares Daroach and flies off into outer space (also what as now called Gamble Galaxy). Kirby follows, eventually encountering and fighting Daroach, now aptly named Dark Daroach, for the second time at the end of the game's eighth world. Kirby finally gets his hands on the Strawberry Shortcake Once beaten, the dark stuff lets go of the Squeak leader and floats away in the form of a small, black-colored star. Kirby follows the star; it eventually transforms into its true form, a demon named Dark Nebula. Kirby confronts the fiend and after a short but intense battle,triumphs over the monster who disintigrates and explodes. Afterwards, Kirby; wondering where his cake really is, travels back to his home of Popstar as the credits roll... In the final scene of the game however, Kirby reaches Dream Land as a bubble containing his treasured dessert follows close behind. The Squeaks have returned the cake, supposedly as an apology for all the trouble they had caused. Overjoyed at seeing his sumptuous sweet, Kirby gladly eats to his heart's content.

Exactly as expected at good price
I played this game when i was younger and lost it a while ago, bought it here to relive the experience. It still held up
