Product Information

The Sims 2: Pets for consoles brings animal companions into Sims neighborhoods and households. Pet-friendly Sims can adopt birds, guinea pigs, or dogs and cats of one of several different breeds. Enterprising animal lovers can even design a custom pet, by choosing coloring, body size and type, and personality traits in the game's "Create-a-Family" mode. Plenty of pre-designed four-legged friends can be found with a call to the animal adoption agency, and even more are available for purchase at the local pet store.<br><br>Sim pets have needs similar to those of Sim people. Food and friendship are the most immediate, but pets also need toys for play and a place to go when nature calls. Just as in real life, it falls on Sim pet owners to keep their pets happy by feeding and watering them, playing with them, showing them affection, taking them to the park or pet store, and teaching them new tricks such as sit, stay, and fetch.<br><br>Animals also need to be disciplined from time to time, for actions such as chewing a favorite shoe or scratching up the couch, but firm training (and a toy the pet can chew or scratch without doing damage) will help keep valuables safe from kitty claws and puppy teeth. The console versions of Sims 2: Pets offer an abundance of role-playing-styled objectives, and allow players to collect hats, shirts, booties, and other garments and accessories to help them personalize their favorite animal companions. Sim characters can visit the expansive Town Center retail area to purchase toys and treats, and to unlock more animals and items by completing objectives.

    The Sims 2 pets Love it or not ?

    Yes I love this game for the gamecube console, its differant then the PC version, in good ways such as but not limited to , more challaging game play, funner with the pets, and little bit of family learning, its great for all ages, and it is something that noone will forget about soon, it will grow bigger and bigger and gain more customers then ever before, the sims two pets brings in the pets for your children to love care for and understand the living and dieing process and even help them understand ... not only that but they will learn family values as well as what life can be like if they want it to be. Or how wrong it can go if they allow it, Its fun and an experiance you won't forget, Children even adults have enjoyed this game and all their EPs on PC... now it brings a taste to ...

    Good but not as good as sims 2

    I bought this thinking it would be sims two for gamecube PLUS the pets expansion. However they cut so much content out of the core game to make room for pets on this disk it's barely the same game. There is next to no sim style options. Half of the original furniture is out. And the big deal breaker NO SPLITSCREEN GAMEPLAY! the main purpose of buying it was for my roommate and I to play together but when we found out we'd need to take turns we just decided to go ahead and get the sims 3 with all the expansions on PC. Haven't touched the gamecube version since.

    sims 2 pets

    the game did not work when I bought it ,it said it was a working game. every few min it will say error and stop working. Tried cleaning it and no change

    Wrong thing. Don't know wth a GameCube is. Should of shown.picture of disc inside. What a waste of money. Next time I won't buy just seeing the cover
