Worth watching --- but chock full of horror movie cliches
THE TOOTH FAIRY is a guilty pleasure, definitely worth watching but still only average as it has every bad horror-movie cliche in the book. You're traveling to an unfamiliar town and the inbred yokels at the gas station try to rape you? There's a woodchipper in the shed? Two people have died mysterious, bloody deaths in the house where you're staying, just a few minutes ago, but you're thinking of having sex? Well, you must be in a horror movie and you ought to realize that sex is a bad idea and you should leave the house, now! Sadly, this could have been an excellent movie if they had concentrated on the outstanding child actors and cut the gory adult scenes. When the film focuses on the little girl, Pamela, and her little ghost girl friend and their quest to ... When the film focuses on the little girl, Pamela, and her little ghost girl friend and their quest to banish the evil tooth fairy, the script takes on a fairy tale quality. Think SPIDERWYCK CHRONICLES or Harry Potter. Pamela's mother even likens Pamela's story of the tooth fairy to Harry Potter. The scenes with the ghost children and Pamela trying to unravel the mystery would fit well in a PG-rated film aimed at kids. But then you've got the sex scene and the woodchipper! It's like they tried to mix two genres, which resulted in something too gory for children, yet unsatisfying for adults, because the adults in this film aren't nearly as smart as the kids. It doesn't help that the Tooth Fairy, supposedly an old woman, is obviously a young man wearing a rubber mask.

Tooth Fairy
Not to over state this, for the day it was made, it was a decent movie. Characters acting was good, script was decent, special effects decent for the day it was made. The movie, it didn't pull me in, I was just watching to see what was next.

Not the movie we thought it was but still worth the watch. It was good not to scary not to gory but good I recommend it

The Tooth Fairy?
This was not as good as the movie, The Darkness, which was based on a tooth fairy also. This movie shows more blood & chopping of arms & private things, but has alot of kid actors in it, which was great. It is a pretty good movie with great filming but a couple of the Adult Actors are bad. it looked like the witch or tooth fairy was standing in the window at the end of the movie. What will happen now?This was not as good as the movie, The Darkness, which was based on a tooth fairy also. Enjoyed The Tooth Fairy
Loved this movie! children who watch this movie may no longer find the tooth fairy legend to be a good one at all, as this evil one butchers everyone who gives a tooth whether it be voluntary or involuntary. When this tooth fairy gets a hold of you, you not only lose a tooth but your life as well. The tooth fairy is not all that scary looking therefore it looks more realistic than most monster slashers so that's a plus. One of the tooth fairys victims is butchered like a chicken being cut up(very gruesome) No graphic sex scenes(there is a scene though were the tooth fairy cuts the guys private parts off lol!) and that's another plus! Over all, I enjoyed this movie alot! Kids may find this movie more interesting as well as scary. Is it good enough to buy?
