    The Compact Tractor Bible

    This is like the Bible only if the Bible quit after the first verse of Genesis. The book has an interesting format and its glossy photos add interest as an'eye candy' tease. So said, it was a major disappointment. The ad blurb and the book's intro pages talk about how there are over 80 manufacturers of compact tractors and implies that it will add information to help the compact tractor shopper make an informed decision to buy. Ending confusion between the myriad chooses. Not so! It basically throws together a number of paraphrased brochures from perhaps 5 compact tractor manufacturers. It then includes more manufactures brochure fair about UTVs, Mini excavators, skid steers and specialty grounds equipment.     For this experienced tractor user, the book offers little insight.

    I purchased this book to get a better understanding of the capabilities, differences, and product offerings of the so called 80 compact tractor manufacturers. What I got were pictures (likely from product manufacturers) and info about lawn mowing. The book isn't terrible, it just doesn't offer what I, at least, presumed to be buying.
