BEST book around !!
If you're looking for an intelligently written book that doesn't use big fancy words and is VERY easy to understand, then this is the book you are looking for. Not only is it information packed but you get some cute little stories here and there. I have other Iguana books but this one beats them all hands down !!! If you decide to get just one book on Iguanas, the do yourself a favor, GET THIS BOOK !!!If you're looking for an intelligently written book that doesn't use big fancy words and is VERY easy to understand, then this is the book you are looking for. Book thoughts of an Iguana owner
I bought this book because I own a juvenile Green Iguana, and I wanted to gain more knowledge about these intriguing creatures to enrich my experience. I found everything I was looking for in Mellssa Kaplan's book, from understanding iguana behavior/body language, to proper nutrition and enclosure construction/maintenance. The author has wealth in both the study of, and personal experience with, green iguanas. I was especially interested in the all-important subject of taming or "socializing" iguanas. The hazards of owning a feral or somewhat tame iguana are real, causing unavoidable stress and, even injury, to both lizard and handler. Very straight forward and insightful, this is not a book in sync with the "exotic pet" craze popular here and there. Not every pet is good for every pet ... A good starter book to iguanas
I really like this book , it gives you a lot of good information about the wonderful creature that is the green iguana. I love that the information is simplied, easy to follow,and straight to the point. I have owned iguanas for many years and I still use this book as a quick reference book. All in all if you're looking for a simple basic iguana care book, than this is your best bet. For more advanced information I would suggest: Green Iguana The Ultimate Owner's Manual by James Hatfield.I really like this book , it gives you a lot of good information about the wonderful creature that is the green iguana. I love that the information is simplied, easy to follow,and straight to the point. I have owned iguanas for many years and I still use this book as a quick reference book. All in all if you're looking for a simple basic iguana care book, than this is your best bet. For more advanced information I would suggest: Green Iguana The Ultimate Owner's Manual by James Hatfield.
