Avis les plus pertinents

  • Very well written and easy to understand.

I recently took my FCC test for Technician class, and learned a great deal about antenna theory and skywave propagation and so on, but very little about the lingo used by hams and such other matters. This book made the world of ham radio a LOT less intimidating, and really goes into a lot of subjects that are not found in other books. Although experience is the best teacher, I think this book will help you to get your foot in the door and then it's just a matter of learning by doing. I would recommend this book to somebody just getting started, it will be a big benefit to you.

  • Easily learn more than the basics to HAM radio operatio

This book is easy to understand and has helped me receive my Amateur Radio License. It explains things in simple terminology so that even I can understand the way radio communications work. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to go past just knowing the answers to the entry exam and really understand how it all comes together.

  • Ham Radio for Dummies like me.

All the Dummies books I've read have been very useful. I'm already on chapter three and have learned a lot. "Discover how to: understand ham jargon, communicate on the air, prepare for the license exam, set up a radio shack, help in an emergency or natural disaster and be a ham on the go." I've had my license for over 10 years and still have lot to learn. By the way; I'm a female over 50.

  • Ham Radoi for dummies
