    I lost weight with this method 20 years ago and decided to try it again to get rid of my middle age spread. The newer version in this book is nicely updated and still has it's core program inside. I also like the smaller paperback version as it is easy to carry with me, however the print could be a little larger. All in all a very informative book, with references and research by well known and established people in the field of food science and weight loss. A very helpful guide to anyone at any age who likes to eat and wants to lose weight in a healthy fashion. Best diet plan that has worked for me.

    Wonderful new ideas on weight control and implementing a new way of dining are found in The Volumetrics Weight-Control Plan. I am a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and find this book can be incorporated into the Weight Watchers plan -- what more could one ask for than 2 great weight control plans working together. Volumetrics has meal plans for you to choose from - you choose what you want for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I find the food is very filling and often more that I can eat. I have never left the table hungry and I don't crave food in between meals. The meals are healthy and good. I highly recommend Volumetrics if you want to lose weight, maintain weight and learn a new style of lifetime dining.

  • A practical approach to changing poor eating habits

    I bought this book because I had heard about energy dense foods being more satisfying and promoting better health and weight loss at the same time. It just makes good sense to fill up on energy dense, lower caloried foods and makes it easier to walk away from meals satisfied without being over full. It is very well writen and easy to comprehend. I just wish it had more recipes that didn't require a lot of preparation for those of us who have limited time for food preparation. Otherwise the recipes are very good and tasty.

    The content is very good; information by nutritionist with a PhD, about a way of eating and some recipes that is healthy, tasty, and helps manage weight so we are not adding more and more pounds as time goes by. The condition was as stated, so I am glad I ordered this book. I thought I was ordering a quality paperback book, but it was actually a mass market paperback, so smaller with smaller print. I am 70 and can read smaller print but enjoy larger print with more white space between letters and lines.
