BlueChart g2 features crisp labeling and an overall smoother presentation on your chartplotter display. In addition to the basic charts, tidal stations, currents, depth contours, IALA symbols and included fishing charts, BlueChart g2 offers improved transitioning between zoom levels and more seamless continuity across chart boundaries. BlueChart g2 also adds safety shading which allows the user to enable contour shading for all depth contours shallower than the user-defined safe depth. The fishing charts are designed to emphasize bathymetric contours with less visual clutter on the display.

    Worked with Garmin GPSmap741xs chartplotter

    I bought this to update the charts on an older Garmin GPSmap 741xs chartplotter. Garmin tech support wasn't sure it would work because the Chartplotter came with G2 chart,s and this is G3. It did work. I may not get all the bells and whistles available with G3 because the Chartplotter doesn't support them, however the chart looks good, and Auto-Guidance was an added feature that worked.

    Blue Chart Chip For Garmin GPS

    I have several Garmin 76cx and 76csx models that I use mostly in the Florida Keys. I like this chip because it shows good detail on the screen and I can use it in any of my Garmins. If you buy a chip from Garmin you have to register it with one GPS and if that GPS dies the chip dies with it. It cannot be used in another GPS.

    Great deal

    I trailer our boat all over the Easter US. My Garmin, and its internal map, is ten years old. This was a good way to bring the unit a little more up to date for the area I'll be traveling in next.

    Garmin Bluecharts

    I have a few of these and they are a very nice thing to have on a gps. On my bar they supply lots of extra detail

    works well in my GPSMAP 76 or 78

    These are getting harder to find for the older Garmin units. This is good, stable, functioning software.
