With its mixture of girl-in-danger drama and grisly horror, I KNOW WHO KILLED ME is equally indebted to Lifetime television movies and torture-driven films such as SAW. The film begins as Aubrey Fleming (Lindsay Lohan), a high school student with serious goals as a writer, describes a fictional character she's made up, a stripper named Dakota Moss. Though Aubrey is kidnapped by a serial killer preying on local girls, she manages to escape the fate of all his other victims and survives. When she is found two weeks later after enduring horrible torture, she claims to be Dakota. The horror that Aubrey endured under the hands of the killer is only the beginning in this thriller, as Aubrey/Dakota questions her own sanity and sense of reality.As an actress who has made her name by playing good-girl characters in films such as FREAKY FRIDAY and MEAN GIRLS, Lohan makes quite a departure from her previous roles with I KNOW WHO KILLED ME. There's plenty of disturbing fare here: scenes of Lohan pole dancing are contrasted with scenes of the same character as an amputee. This is director Chris Sivertson's first major film after two smaller pictures (ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE and THE LOST), and here he creates a highly stylized work with a number of haunting visuals.

I'm going to go easy on this. Lohan is trying to make the 'jump' from kids to adult. It's her first horror gig, so I am being nice. Story is interesting, at points a bit hard to believe. I would not call this a direct thriller, more of a crime drama mystery laced with some suspense. Cast is good. Acting good. Story good but if you don't pay attention especially the last quarter of the film, you will be lost and not understand the plot. No nudity by Lohan, so you Lohan fans, forget it. This movie got ripped by professional reviewers, I won't go that far. If you like Lohan and are OLD enough to see the movie, it's worth between $5.00 and $10.00 on eBay S&H included. It's a dark, confusing movie that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Lindsay is charming as always, but all the minor characters don't look anything like the people they're suppose to represent. For example, Lindsay's dad looks about 30-years-old. One of the police officers looks like a fashion model. They're was nothing wrong with the DVD quality.

I know who killed me
It was a nice movie to rent and watch once. I would not want to own it. Although strong sexual content they stop short of any nudity. A girl willing to go all the way after meeting only once but not willing to remove the bra? She is a beautiful stripper but they show nothing. The entire movie teases and then stops short. Interesting plot and it has a few twist. I found myself enjoying the movie.It was a nice movie to rent and watch once. I would not want to own it. it's a mystery, about a girl who disappears out of the blue when going out with some friends. After her disappearance a woman traveling the road finds her body in the side of the road. When Aubrey (the lost girl) wakes up in the hospital she claims she's not the girl police and her parents are looking for and says she's an exotic dancer poor the total opposite of Aubrey also that her name is Dakota. During her recuperation she acts kinda rude to Aubrey's parents and sleeps with Audrey's boyfriend. (This movie contains some nudity and small sexual scenes)The thing is that people think that the girl they found really is Aubrey and claim she's making up another life in her head and could snap out of it. Well this girl that police found really is Dakota and after much investigation realizes ... it's a mystery, about a girl who disappears out of the blue when going out with some friends.
