The medieval mixture of city building and real-time strategy of Stronghold continues with Stronghold: Crusader. The twist: this time it's the Europeans, led by the ruthless Richard I, invading Phoenicia and Palestine to confront the forces of Islam, led by the cunning Saladin. Players will take command of either side and engage in fierce tactical combat including open field battles, sieges, and campaigns.<br><br>During the Third Crusade, Christian forces invaded the Holy Land, captured Jaffa, then stalled and failed to capture Jerusalem. They fought several bloody battles and countless skirmishes against Saladin, but neither side won a decisive victory. Eventually the cost of maintaining an army so far removed from Europe forced a peace accord and a withdrawal -- Saladin triumphed. <br><br>Stronghold: Crusader offers players a chance to control either side and rewrite the history book during four extensive campaigns. Utilize many varied units including: assassins, horse archers, slaves, Greek fire, fire watchmen, moats, killing pits, Arabian swordsmen, Teutonic knights, grenadiers, siege towers, fire ballistas, trebuchets, and mangonels. A scenario editor allows the creation of new maps and missions, while the multiplayer options allow eight-player battles over a LAN or the Internet.

    Fun .

    Even though this is a pretty old game and I play alot of the newest games available on the market, I still have a lot of fun playing Stronghold Crusader to this day. Graphicly it still looks nice and runs smoothly. The sound is done well and the gameplay is really good with alot of items and upgrades available to create whatever kind of castle you want. You are a Lord and you start off with a little cash and a couple peasents. By gathering different resourses with your workers you begin to amass stockpiles that you use to equip/feed/build your town , you can also sell your goods for gold and you can hire mercenaries or buy gear to make your own troops. There is so many options that you will not get bored. There&apos;s lots of Buildings, Industries and Town additions you can choose to ...

    Stronghold Crusader PC Game NIB

    I bought this game for my 10 yr old grandson. He loves the knights and sword play and he plays it almost daily. I decided to buy it because it isn't guns and modern day wepons, yet the characters can fight on horseback with swords and old fashioned hand to hand combat. I like the game because there are no winners or loosers and he can build villages and do positive things as well as the combat that a 10 yr old likes. I recommend it to anyone who likes the character role playing types of games. This isn't checkers!!!

    Sound not working

    The product was great the only problem I have is it has no sound whatsoever like it's been a copy that's been illegal you can't hear no voices no music and I know it ain't my new computer. I've tried other games in my computer and they work fine sound voice everything that's the only disc that does not have no sound

    Stronghold Crusader - One of my favorate games!

    I LOVE this game. I have had this game for some time, and no matter what new game I get I always come back to SHC. I loved this game so much that I bought the warchest. Not only does it have the standard degrees of difficulty, but each opponant ranges in difficulty and you have the option of teaming up to 7 opponants against you at one time. This game can truly steal hours from you!
