Bought this book in January 2007. A publishing masterpiece! However, the paragraph numbering system is unfortunately just ONE number OFF from the original text of James Ussher's. This sure does pose a problem for anyone trying to make a side-by-side comparison of the text. It can now be established, by simple high-school math that not one of the 7000 entries in either this new edition OR the original have ALL THREE time-line date correct. A simple look at entry #63 & #64 (of the original) or #64 & 65 (of the new edition) will show a 60 year error, that is well recognized by biblical scholars. A secon major mis-calculation is evidenced in entry #468 (original) and #469 (new edition). It is the "tenth" Jubilee of 955BC, NOT, the ninth Jubilee of 1004BC ... Bought this book in January 2007. My hope is that this book will finnaly be EDITED with these TWO major errors taken into account. By subtracting 112 years from ALL of Ussher's BC time-line TO THE EXODUS, we will find the "correct" "actual dates. Then, after the Jubilee correction is made,(49 years=EXACTLY ONE JUBILEE.) we are left with a MINUS 112 year correction on the AM & JP time-lines for the REST of the book. So, mathematically it can be demonstrated that, even though the keeping of ALL OF that history is a magnificent work, we can have NO confidence in ANY of the dates being reliable as now printed in either edition. A complete overhaul of ONE of the TWO major historians of the past 2000 years is now in order. An overhaul of both James Ussher's and of Flavius Josephus will lead us to both clarity and veracity in understanding the beauty and simplicity of how recorded secular history and biblical history complement each other.

Just the facts
Love all the information in this book. It is nice to have timelines to go back to. Comes in useful when people ask questions, this helps to smooth it out.
