Classic and timeless
Classic Disney Alice in Wonderland is magical. Had it on original VHS for children and bought DVD for grand kids now! Didn't think the remastered look would appeal to us but didn't disappoint one bit!

Alice in Wonderland - Masterpiece Edition (2004, DVD)
I purchased this DVD as a Christmas gift for my 20 year old daughter. Alice In Wonderland is her favorite Disney Classic, and she has owned the VHS version since she was a little girl. There are two things that set this version of Alice apart from the version she grew up with. First, the film has been beautifully restored. The colors in the animation are clear and vivid, and the sound quality is truly superb, especially considering the age of the original soundtrack. Secondly, the Disney movie you know and love is only a part of this package. It takes up only a portion of the first DVD. There are so many very interesting add on features which make this two DVD set worth buying even if you already own another version of Disney's Alice in Wonderland. The interactive tea party ... The care put in to this segment did not match the rest of the production in any way, and that disappointed us. There is so much more though, to recommend this set. There are several features that would appeal to adults every bit as much, if not more, than to children. The whole second DVD is full to the brim with material about the making of Alice, between 1947 and 1951, and the introduction of Disney's Alice In Wonderland to the public...All sorts of interesting and entertaining background information and performances both live and animated, including songs that did not make it into the final movie version along with the reasons why. My husband put the DVD in the player just to test it before wrapping it up for Christmas, and we sat transfixed, exploring through these bonus features for over two hours, still not having seen everything there is to see and hear. The end result is that we have decided to gradually build up a collection of any of these masterpiece versions of Disney Classics that we can find at a good price, for ourselves to enjoy. Alice - a story out of its time
Alce in Wonderland is technically up to the classic Disney standards as far as animation and presentation is concrned. The movie is excellently produced and - other than the story - earns full marks from this viewer. Unfortunately, Alice, falls down badly as vehicle for a children's story. Alice was originally written as a political satire of its day. Children may well enjoy Disney's colorfull presentation, but may find the story line - if they are able find one at all - confusing and almost non-existant. 4 out of 5 stars is the best I can do for AliceAlce in Wonderland is technically up to the classic Disney standards as far as animation and presentation is concrned. An Old Favorite
This was always one of my favorites as a kid, one of the strangest of all animated films. The quality of the DVD was really good and it was a trippy trip down memory lane.

Eye Candy and Fun Movie to Watch
I love this movie because of the colorful and fun characters. I think it's one of Disney's finest and stays true to original storyline.
