DONT BUY FROM THIS SELLER Item was advertised as "New condition, ships with case" and it came in a paper sleeve with no case.. obviously not new. Oh, and it also took a MONTH to arrive. Horrible.

Not A Waste - Good Movie
Wasted is based on a series that MTV ran documenting teenage drug users in Plano, Texas. Kids dying of overdoses had become an epidemic and Wasted basically follows this story through the tale of three friends - Sam, Chris and Owen. Sam is kind of the "little girl lost" with a sweet, shy demeanor who lives with her father after her mother dies. Owen is the wilder, party kid whose parents are gone most of the time and Chris is the athlete whose father leaves his family for a younger woman. The story starts with Sam overdosing on heroin in a bathroom and being subjected to rehab. Owen consistently throws parties at his house and will do anything to avoid being caught doing drugs, even ditching Sam at the hospital after her overdose. Chris isn't into drugs at the beginning of the movie, ... Wasted is based on a series that MTV ran documenting teenage drug users in Plano, Texas. Chris isn't into drugs at the beginning of the movie, but with a knee injury, family pressures, and the feeling that he is being left out of something because he has not experienced what his friends have experienced, Chris soon joins them. The story also deals with a lot of denial from the parents - Sam's father doesn't believe she's on drugs, Owens parents are never home and his mother pretends Owen isn't on drugs even when she finds them in a bathroom and Chris' mother says her son is not a drug addict even though she catches him shooting up. The story develops as Sam, sick of 12 step meetings, gets back into heroin and Chris jumps on the bandwagon. There is a rift between Chris and Owen as the drugs evolve - Owen and Chris have both been Sam's boyfriend. As the movie progresses, things get out of control. Another friend, Brad, ends up dying. Owen, Chris and Sam start stealing and selling things for drug money. Chris is hauled in by the police for trying to rob a store and Owen and Chris are both beat up by a drug dealer. The movie admits it is alot of kids with alot of money and nothing to do which propels the boredom. The drug dealer preys on this. In addition, all the characters are going through the angst of being a teenager - worried about the future, worried about each other, in the midst of family drama. One good thing about this movie is that there are three different fates for each of the main characters - one beats the addiction and moves on, one goes to jail, and one ends up dying. This is very realistic in the fact that this is true to the consequences that can happen - some will make it, some will die, and some will spend life in jail. I liked this movie. I thought it gave a realistic portrayal of teenagers and families in this type of situation without holding back. It's not "preachy" or corny. I think it serves to give people information to make their own decisions and shows what can happen. The teenage characters represented most average teenagers and one could easily relate. The cast includes Nick Stahl (Bully, Disturbing Behavior), Summer Phoenix (Girl, SLC Punk) and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, the new Last House on the Left). One more interesting element is the fact that the movie tries to show how the teenagers hold life together while their double-life is sort of whirling around it and how friendships can change in the face of adversity.

Its No Acts of Worship
Very GOOD but "Acts of Worship" is way better. A little slow which is dissapointing but overall i give it a 3/5, entertaining but could have been much much better

Wasted & Recovery
This is a good movie for those who are going through drug and alcohol treatment helps you realize why people do what they do and why they need to get their fix and what they would do just to get their fix.
