The Ibanez WH-10 wah pedal from Japan allows you to add classic, recognizable, and iconic wah sounds to your guitar tone. With the treadle pushed up, you'll harness a rich, warm tone. With the treadle pressed down, you'll have access to a sharp, metal sound to spice up your musical timbre and performance. This pedal creates a compelling, dirty-guitar wah effect made famous by top musicians like John Frusciante.The Ibanez WH-10 wah effect pedal has unique outboard parameter controls that let you perform in a different frequency range depending on what instrument you are playing. This means you can use this pedal for both guitars and bass and in different ways with each instrument. Furthermore, this Ibanez wah-wah pedal has an added depth control, which allows you to add between +6 and +12 decibels of gain to your sound. This can make the effect subtle or add some fuzz to color your tone. You can use this device to provide a little volume boost, equalize certain frequencies, or apply a combination of both. The wah sound itself is produced by changing the frequency of the filter circuit, which happens when you push down or pull up on the treadle. It is easy to switch between the different settings and to control your timbre with your foot in order to find the perfect musical expression.The Ibanez WH10 wah guitar effects pedal has input and output jacks that both take standard quarter-inch instrument cables. There is also a Dry Out that can go directly to a tuner, pedal, or amp for a clean bypass signal. It can be powered by either a 9-volt battery or a 9-volt AC power supply, preferably an Ibanez AC109, AC309, or AC509 adapter for best results. To change the battery, simply remove the screws from the bottom to open the battery compartment. There is a switch underneath the foot pedal that you can press down to toggle the pedal into active or inactive mode. This is indicated by a green LED light. It has a wah range of 350 to 2,200 hertz for guitar and 175 to 1,100 hertz for bass. Its input impedance is 330 kilo-ohms, and it has an output impedance of fewer than 1.2 kilo-ohms. This pedal measures 87 millimeters by 82 millimeters by 202 millimeters and weighs 790 grams.These effects pedals are essential pieces of gear for musicians who play in a wide range of genres.       Tone Killer

      Putting this pedal in the chain kills the tone. It works fine and sounds fine when engaged , but when off darkens the tone far too much to be usable. Could be used in studio work, but is otherwise worthless unless you plan on having it on all the time. Can be modded to true bypass to fix, but I would avoid this pedal all together.

      tone sucking solved

      there are 200 reviews out there, saying it is a tone sucker. Mine doesnt do that. it is running into a slightly overdriven channel and theres no loss in the high end whatsoever. it does muddy the tone on megaclean, but people mostly buy it because they like the frusciante tone which isnt really clean anyways. once you find that edge of breakup kind of sweet spot on your crunch channel/overdrive pedal (which has to be after the wh10, so closer to the amp) the pedal will do no significant changes to your tone. also on a clean channel it will make a huge volume jump when engaged, the slightly broken up signal will make that behave too.

      Excellent

      Great product, although it causes a great loss of signal when bypassed. Will I need to let you in True Bypass not to lose the tone of the guitar. He came at me with a noise in the pot, but it was easy to solve, it was just dust. Probably the time that is saved. Especially for those who want the sound of John Frusciante, I recommend to everyone.
