Works fine- if you can assemble it
I bought this product about 3 years ago at Container store and have loved it so much I bought another and sent one as a gift. I noticed it was much less expensive and now I know why. while the assembled product works fine- it was very hard to assemble. There are 4 tiny tiny screws on the bottom that did not exist on the original model. The original had a large wheel screw on top attached to the back brace, and you can easily loosen it and adjust the depth of the opening. The current version you have to guess how deep of an opening you need for the back brace and then hope that the two tiny screws stay in place and are even, while you tighten them. it was also much harder to insert the lightning cord. The metal is a much lighter weight tho so far does not seem flimsy. It is just a ... Solid, although pricey.
The stand is solid, although I thought it was a bit pricey. I also found plugging my ipad into the stand sometime cumbersome because it is difficult to line the port hole with the adapter as you cant really see what your doing. I do like how the stand appears and hides the wires. Once you get used to plugging it in, i think its not a abd additon.

Well built and very adjustable
I found this while looking for a charger stand. What a find! The stand is designed to adjust to almost any device; android or lightening. However it is designed to secure one type of cable at a time and specifically an Apple. I got the High Rise Deluxe because of the sliding backstop which is easily secured with a twist of the bolt in the back plate. It can adjust to a device with or without a case. The stand sits without taking up too much room on a desk or night table or next to the computer. It is at a nice height that makes it easy to see and/or read at a comfortable position. I HIGHLY recommend this well made stylish stand. I got a FANTASTIC buy on this stand on eBay. Stylish
It is very stylish though a little difficult to put together. I had to spend the money to get an Apple lightning to work with it. Cable knock offs don't work. It is a very good value!! It matches the silver on my Mac perfectly and looks modern on my desk. I usually use speaker phone so the stand is the perfect height for that and the phone is charging while I use it.

Great charging stand
I have four of these units in either black or silver. They are very adjustable for different size cases coming with three different adapters. Very well made out of heavy duty cast aluminum. The standard unit purchased requires the use of an authentic apple charging cord for the adapters to work. The deluxe version, which is available at approximately the same cost, includes the cable. i’ve also called customer service and spoken to them about parts they are very helpful and a great company to deal with.I have four of these units in either black or silver.
